More than one monster

It was a brutal crime, and Arias was rightly convicted. However, this book confirmed what I already suspected: the boy scout that some have portrayed Travis Alexander as is a sham. Of course he should not have been killed, but this was a man who played with the affections of woman after woman, and cheated on every single one. He willingly saw Arias, he willingly had sex with her, and pursued her even after breakups. There is no doubt that he led her on, telling her anything she wanted to hear. Yes, Jodi was insecure and dangerous - BUT, she's being accused of being "crazy" and jealous when he was, in fact, cheating at every turn. So yes, being hurt when you think you are in an exclusive relationship (I'm strongly guessing she thought they were) DOES tend to make one jealous and eventually - off balance. Sometimes players play with the wrong woman. I really think that's what happened here. Was she wrong? Was his murder horrible? Absolutely. But there is a lesson here, and as I see it, it's that there is more than one monster in this story. Jodi is not the only one.

Jodi the bombshell, oh please

I am nitpicking but I can’t stand when I hear incorrect things, minor or not. It just immediately makes me question the intelligence of someone. When I read that, “Jodi dyed her hair bleach blonde.”, ugh! You don’t DYE hair blonde, you bleach hair blonde. It should’ve read, “Jodi bleached her hair blonde.” Also, the very beginning of the book the author describes Jodi Arias as a “bombshell”, having blonde hair does not make a woman a “bombshell”. Jodi has VERY average looks, a hideous nose & gross teeth, maybe the author thinks she’s hot, and that’s fine but give me a break with the “bombshell” that’s such a lame, outdated word anyway.

Good

Books are like very personal items; either you're interested in the subject matter or you're not but somebody else is. Open the cover and take your chances. I happened to like this one.

Easy to read & insightful

I avoided the Jodi Arias hoopla until recently. This book is a great companion to Convicted by the prosecutor Juan Martinez. It has an excellent section on borderline personality disorder which Jodi Arias was diagnosed with. I was friends with someone with BPD and I saw similiar behaviors in Arias. There are no words for the horror, suffering, pain and devastation Arias inflicted on Travis Alexander, his family, colleagues, friends, neighbors and community. No words.

Great Book.

There wasn't much new information about the murder or trial in this book but it did have alot of information about Jodi Arias & Travis Alexanders childhood & their relationships that I did not know. I wanted to refresh my memory on this case so I got this book & a few others.
Jane did a great job writing this book. Some authors are just so hard to follow but I couldn't put this book down & it was very well written.
