A twisting murder investigations not in one but two local areas in Australia. Fifty Fifty by James Patterson and Candice Fox.

Fifty Fifty by James Patterson and Candice Fox, what a novel, three hundred seventy pages of revolving mystery. Harriet Blue's brother, Sam, has been arrested for murder. Harriet is a police detective where a series of killings against young women has been going on for a short time. Evidence found points right at him, Sam! Harriet, known as, Harry, believes in Sam's innocents. She is removed from the investigation and sent to a valley away from the investigation and court. She finds herself in a very small village in Australia. There she finds criminal activities that are mind blowing. Killings by home made bombs. Threats to the entire village to be killed off. Sam's ongoing investigator's, keep Harriet informed as to any progress made. The Chief of the village's two man police department, the chief is one of the two, is blown up with one of the home made bombs. Who in the world would do this? The towns people point a finger at a male who lives out of town and is a recluse. Mean while, two of Harriet's friends find clues showing that Sam just may have been framed, but by who and why? Rated PG. Some strong language. No sexual activities. DP. Castro Valley, CA.

I'll give it one star as there is no provision ...

I'll give it one star as there is no provision for giving it zero. Everything about it was wrong and poorly written. I won't buy another story featuring Harriet Blue.

Worst ending of this century.

For a James Patterson novel, this book wasn't really bad until the last 10 pages. I think that the book was over due for the publisher and someone had to finish it. They did. In the worst way. Nothing makes sense or is likely to be enjoyed by whoever picks up this book and gets this far. Well back to not reading anything with James Patterson's name on it.

Fifty Fifty.....It's a coin toss whether you like it or not.

It's an okay read. I have not been a fan of the "Harriet Blue" storyline. I do own almost every book James Patterson has written but this series just doesn't seem to fit his usual flare.

Harriet Blue

I read the first book Never Never and it was very good. But I was able to spot the killer right off. Fifty Fifty kept me guessing til the end. It does leave you hanging until the next book comes out. Great Book.

Leaves you hanging - once again!

Like the characters but frustrated once again with the ending, which comes abruptly. It leaves you hanging, forcing you to buy another book to figure out what happens!

Betrayal of sorts

I like James Patterson...mostly. What I really hate in my reading material is being left feeling like I just wasted my time getting involved in a story only to be kicked in the gut at the end...all so the author(s) can create another book. Well, not interested in seeing what gut punch THAT book will give me. Not amused Mr Patterson. Not. One. Bit. If you like getting kicked by the author at the end, and being pissed off when the book is done, then by all means pick up this book. But consider yourself warned.

"Crazy" Harry

There are 4 things I love about James Patterson books; short chapters, at least 2 interlinking story lines, a mystery of where this is going and a compelling "can't put this book down story". They say 3 out of 4 ain't bad, just make sure number 4 isn't a bad, incoherent story. I have read every book James Patterson has written excluding the youth series. Some were good, most were great but "Harry" just doesn't cut it for me. At times I wanted to scream at the bad guys and tell them to take dead aim and shoot. That would take us both out of our misery.
After reading Never Never, I decided to give "Crazy" Harry a 2nd chance. Sorry 3rd attempt won't happen for me. I'm just glad I checked these 2 out at the library. I already have All American Murder and have the release dates on all future Patterson novels on my to read pad. I'm not going anywhere, and for sure not back to Australia to visit Ms Blue.
