Description

Fire Me I Beg You is a book I wish I had when I was stuck in an office cubicle wondering when my boss would fire me. Robbie offers practical and actionable advice to quit your job without risking your bank account or career. It's a must read for anyone who is contemplating quitting but doesn't want to lose it all. David Kadavy, best-selling author, and host of "Love Your Work" podcast Robbie sent us slippers and coffee mugs. Everyone else sends crappy gifts. The guy is creative and a hustler. Pay attention to what he's working on. Noah Kagan, founder of AppSumo, and employee #30 at Facebook Robbie is the genuine item. He is funny, relentless, and speaks the truth. Even if you love your job, Fire Me I Beg You presents some real options to move forward. Changing jobs means changing lives and is not for the weak hearted. Robbie provides the courage to do so. Richard Moran, venture capitalist, and president emeritus of Menloxa0College Robbie shows you that you have much more potential than you realized. The unwritten, often unintuitive rules of success are written down for the first time. Fire Me I Beg You is a handbook to succeed in your career even when real life gets in the way. The first ever practical guide to quitting a job.

The best way to sum up this book would be calling it a "surviving guide for the job you hate". Robbie provides step by step actions to get ready to quit and start a new career path that actually stands a chance of bringing you a sense of fulfillment. Probably the first and only book to give you practical tips and outline a real strategy for the act of quitting a job, so you'll find some real gems in here not found in any other book I'm aware of. Plus, Robbie's hilarious delivery makes these a super easy read.

The first step to the life you want

This is an inspiring and funny book meant to guide you through a career transition. It’s a pretty easy read, which is nice, bc changing one’s life course is not an easy thing! I appreciated that despite the humor, there’s a lot of real calls to action that make this more than a mere “inspirational” or aspirational read.

Bought it because of James Altucher foreword. Didn’t disappoint.

I also bought the book because of the James Altucher foreword and his endorsement. I will say that Robbie’s writing style is similar to James, but Robbie doesn’t shy away from that.

After reading this book, I have a new found energy to quit my job and find a new one. I was limited in my belief in regards to how I can quit, but now I have the tools and knowledge to put my best foot forward in becoming independent.
