The Kindle version should be avoided at all costs.

Kindle Version: Do not buy the Kindle version. The software is frustrating and limited for navigating eTextbooks. The images are not optimized for zoom, and the whole experience of reading and reviewing a textbook on a Kindle or PC is the most frustrating and time-consuming study method ever devised. STAY AWAY FROM THE KINDLE VERSION!

Five Stars

I use it all the time as a guideline for teaching and editing medical material.

Felt necessary at the time

I mostly bought this out of being paranoid about the CS exam. In retrospect, if you are a US medical student, passed all your courses, and passed your Sr OSCE's, this book is not necessary

I love this book for practicing with a partner

This is a great book in order to practice different types of clinical scenarios with a study partner. Although some patient notes are larger than the ones you will be able to complete during the real exam, they are very useful in helping the reader get a broader idea of every differential diagnosis and approach. I'd definitively recommend it as a "must have" to step 2 CS preparation.
