About the Author LISA EDMONDS was born and raised in Kansas, and studied English and forensic criminology at Wichita State University. After college, she considered a career in law enforcement before earning a Ph.D. in English from Texas A&M University. She is currently an associate professor of English. My favorite quote - “There are never only two options…… When all the doors are closed, that’s when you kick down the wall.”
I love this series. Quick moving, engaging plot, interesting characters, bad ass female main character, steady strong mate, and just enough sexual interaction to satisfy without being the raison d’etre of the book. I enjoy reading books with a sense of family in them, especially if it is a hodge-podge family of different types of supernatural beings and humans who end up supporting each other.
The author, Lisa Edmonds gives you a dramatic, sometimes tension-filled read, but never leaves you feeling you have a driver who is going to go off the cliff.
I hope the next of this series comes soon. I know that there are some offshoot series from the Alice Walker series - Cold Souls and Cambion’s Law, but there are some huge remaining issues for Alice and for Malcolm in this series that I really want, no need, to know how they are resolved. And, there are some characters I’m not quite ready to let go of yet.....
