Features & Highlights

  • Basketball always brought them together. Now it might just tear them apart.
  • Axel
  • I always wondered what happened to my first love. But after we got caught kissing at church camp, his jerk of a father made sure I never saw him again.
  • Six years later, I’m streaming a college basketball game in a distant town, trying to decide if I should take a job with the athletic department there, when a familiar face in the crowd leaves me stunned. The school is a thousand miles away, in a tiny rural town. But suddenly, I can’t wait to get there.
  • Caxton
  • I can barely believe it when Axel turns up at the college where I’m a grad student. And I’m just as drawn to him as I ever was. But a few stolen kisses are all I’ll ever have. I can’t date. Loving Axel would mean letting go of my younger brothers who need me.
  • They can’t be together. But as far as their hearts are concerned, it's Hello Forever.

Forever Love

This was pretty much the perfect read! I loved it the whole way through, in fact the only thing I don't like is that it's now over! I was pretty much hooked from day one, and honestly it took me a while to read, but that was in no way the books fault. When I did have time I read half a book in a sitting! The characters are pretty much perfect, absolutely lovable and perfect together. It was well paced with a good amount of action and sexy times (The two most important components, obviously) And all the side characters were lovable/hilarious/aided the plot. 10/10 recommend, to anyone any time

Bowen I need MORE!

I enjoyed this book. But it took a short time for me to get fully into the story (I don't like basketball). I got there though and before I knew it I was finished (-_-) The characters were ofc great! Scotty was a gem, loved that kid. And wtf!? the dad was an ass. The thing with Axel was terrible. Honestly wanted both in a bubble so NOBODY hurts them EVER! And seeing my babies (Caleb/Josh) on here made me smile, they are my heart. Boz btw was boss!

NOTE: I need to know more about Jasons' HAF "lumberjack" neighbor!!!!!!!
In case you need inspiration *brockohurninflannel* heh. because DA-YUUUUM.

Sarina Bowen is the angst queen!

Holy crap, I was not expecting this to go there! Bowen tends to write fluffy slightly angsty novels that while good are kind of repetitive. But holy crap this book was on a whole other level! Angst, emotional, and physical abuse woven into a tale that had me clutching at my heart and making wounded whale noises haha.

Really good! I think I liked this better than the first for several reasons. In the first book, I feel like Josh and Caleb were overshadowed by their escape and moving in with their friends. With this book, it really was pretty much all about Axel and Cax. I also liked that both guys were aware of their feelings and there wasn't much of a problem with that. There were other outside forces that didn't want them together so it was nice that it wasn't because they were angsty. Another thing is that I didn't get mad with either Axel or Cax in this book like I did get frustrated with Josh a little and Caleb last book, though it didn't last for long. Also, I would like to find out about Jason's new guy in his life. I also like that this was just a little over 200 pages. There wasn't any fluff in this book. Everything that was written was necessary for the plot to move forward so I really appreciated that about this!
