I've read all of the Christy books and the spin-off series, and I have to say I am getting tired of the "rich relative" device. It has been over-used, and it is how "God provides" in too many of her books.

It's si good!

I love this book, I wanted to keep reading! If you haven't read the first book, you might want to. this book builds after that one. If you want to start from the beginning of the Todd and Christy stories, then start with the christy miller series. Then read the Todd and christy college years series. Then you'll be ready. But to know all the stories of all the characters, also read the song of the canaries (about Todd's dad and Caroline's story) and Katie Weldon series. Then you'll really be ready.

I have most of Robin Jones Gunn's books and I have loved everything one of them (my bookshelf reflects it). You will not regret reading her books! If you are looking for another series that's more towards mid 20's young adults, I'd suggest the Glenbrooke series. One of my favorites.

With Robin Jones Gunn second installment in her Married Years series of Christy and Todd Spencer, Home of Our Hearts, I finally get to see the marriage between Katie and Eli in Africa. One thing I really love about Gunn's writing is her ability to include characters from other stories like Bryan and Carolyn from Canary Island Song who happens to be Todd's father. I really enjoyed how Christy and Todd both agreed that they loved visiting Africa, but they didn't want to make it their home. Their home is in Newport Beach where they lived and met. I can't wait to see what else Gunn writes about my favorite literary couple.
