WONDERFUL PLANT BOOK👏👏👏

This is a really nice book on house plants. I'm just a beginner and this book has a wealth of information. Very detailed colored pictures. This book is so easy to read and I don't have to deal with pages and pages of information on each plant. Some books are so in depth that it fatigue me and I lose interest. I have purchased 4 easy plants to care for without a whole lot of gardening on the level of Martha Stewart. Rebecca's DeLa Paz hit the jackpot with this book. The proof are in all the reviews.

Love it!

Love it so far! I like that the pages are easy to write notes on, I intend on marking up the inside when I see something I need to highlight for later! The section that have plants of difference care levels is my favorite. Already dog-eared some of the pages for later.

Not helpful

This book claims to teach you how to choose and grow houseplants, but it fails to deliver on either. In choosing a houseplant, it only suggests that different plants have different requirements. It does not indicate which plants have which requirements, so you'll need something else to actually explain how to choose the right plant.
Regarding growing plants, I was particularly frustrated with the explanation on watering. To paraphrase... if your plant has drooping, yellow leaves, you're probably overwatering it or underwatering it. They give the same symptoms for an underwatered plant as an overwatered plant.
If you are an expert on plants, you won't need this book. If you are a beginner like I am, this book won't do you any good, either. I don't believe there really is an audience for this book, so I recommend any other book.

You NEED this book if you own plants!!!!

Oh my gosh. This book has EVERYTHING you need to know about houseplants. Becca lays everything out so even someone new to the plant world (aka me) can know exactly how to take care of house plants and know what different ones are. The book is simple yet, effective to where anyone can pick this up (beginning or expert) and know exactly what to do! She is a wonderful writer and this book is beautiful. BUY IT NOW!

Lacking useful/needed information for really helping plants thrive

it does have lots of pictures and very very basic information. It lacks proper in-depth care instructions or even basic info such as soil and water/sun needs. It is really not worth it. Let's not go into PH/EC testing because there's none. I only give it 2 stars because the pictures are nice.

mehhhh

a super basic plant books... nothing a Google search or a YouTube browse couldn't tell you. It's nice because it is a keep sake from a popular YouTube plant lady but unless you are buying your very first plant and have no idea what to do then thjs book is pretty basic and boring.

Excellent!!

Bought this book because I watch Rebecca’s YouTube channel - it didn’t disappoint!! Concise, easy to read and understandable for a beginner. Based on Becca’s YouTube Channel and this book, am now on my second bag of De La-Tanks Soil Mix (purchased on Amazon) - my plants love it and all my reports this Spring are thriving.

Just what I was looking for!

I have a brown thumb, but very much want house plants for our space. This book divides house plants into 3 groups - easy to grow, a bit more difficult to grow, and pretty tricky to grow. The bulk of the book is in the "easy to grow" category. It has beautiful pictures of each plant, and also indicates whether each plant is "pet-friendly." As a dog owner, that's useful. So - it's everything I wanted - and more!!
