Features & Highlights

  • It only took twelve years, a few too many embarrassing moments, and a cross-country move to run into her childhood crush again.
  • This time, he’s Addison’s next-door neighbor. And someone she definitely cannot fall for.If Ian Kendrick hadn’t grown up to be so good-looking, kind to his grandma, skilled at carpentry, and completely dateable, then it wouldn’t be so difficult to stay away from him. They’re both just getting over breakups, though, and Addison doesn’t need the kind of awkwardness that would come from living next to someone who would surely be just a rebound if they ever dated.Nope. What she needs is to make a list to constantly remind herself how to

Fun and Sweet Rom-Com

This was such a fun and sweet rom-com! I have never read a book by Meg Easton before but I loved her writing style and was pulled in right from the beginning all the way until the very end!
.
How to Not Fall for the Guy Next Door was a light, easy read. Addison was adorable. So nice but also clumsy and fun. I just loved her! And Ian was a total sweetheart. Addison and Ian had spent a few summers together when they were preteens. Years later they run into each other again with one of the funniest meet cutes involving blueberries. I’m smiling thinking about. We find out Ian lives next door to the Inn Addison just moved into.

Both Ian and Addison have a lot of hurt from long term past relationships they need to work through before they can find their happy ending together. But oh what a ride. One of my favorite scenes was the babysitting scene. I laughed out loud. I just loved it! Addison and Ian were troopers.

This book had me sighing and smiling all the way through. You do not want to miss it! The next book is about Addison roommate, Bex, who was a fun secondary character in this book. I already ordered it and can’t wait until it gets here!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. A positive review was not required.

Sweet pool side or beach read

I think this series is a really fun premise. 4 roommates each with their own anti-romance ideas meet their perfect match. This had some fun "2nd hand awkwardness", as I like to call them, moments between the h & H. I found both the H & h likeable. The roomates were perfect gal pals. I'd say this book is good for a nice relaxing and light hearted rom-com. Nothing way intense or moody or angsty. Not cheesy but sweet. Perhaps this had a bit of a ya feel since the roomates are all twentysomethings. Bex is next and it's an opposites attract romance. Can't wait!

A sweet romantic comedy!

Ian and Addison had secret crushes on one another when they were tweens visiting with their extended families in their next door homes during the summers. Then one year Addison stopped coming and before they knew it thirteen years had passed. When Addison's aunt passed away she left her inn/home to Addison and when she moved in, much to her surprise Ian lived next door! This was a sweet story of second chances with lots of funny and awkward moments thrown into the mix. The characters were realistic and very likable. I enjoyed it and highly recommend it to you!

Loved it. Would recommend.

This story perfectly demonstrates every little girls first summer crush and how we never quite get over it.
Addison's character held a lot of relatable personality traits, including insecurities, dorky habits, and embarrassing reactions to situations. Ian on the other hand I just wanted to pinch him. Ugh!! I hated that he let his own fears hold him back for so long. However, I would say he was my favorite character out of the book. He's scenes were what I kept hoping for with each page flip.
Would definitely recommend, and will wait eagerly for the next in the series.
