Great Introduction Book for Kids

This book is a wonderful presentation of the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly for kids and young adults. As an adult, I still found information that I had not previously known about the Monarch. The chronology of the material being presented is appropriate; however, the book was lacking a better pictorial presentation for kids on how to raise Monarchs. Resource material was a pleasant surprise and will become helpful in furthering your study of the Monarch. There is an underlying thread throughout the book regarding the preservation of this magnificent creature which I appreciated, and will become a member myself, of any one of the organizations presented in the book toward this goal.

A great introductory book on Monarch, and some other, butterflies.

We have established a Monarch waystation to provide habitat for breeding butterflies and for providing nourishment on their migrations. We have helped several other people and the book is a great learning resource. It has enough information, including diagrams and pictures, to be very helpful but not so much as to be overwhelming.

Wonderful Book for both children and adults to learn about butterflies

I initially borrowed this book from a library to start a Monarch Butterfly Garden. It was simple to follow and gave me a good understanding of where to start. I purchased this book to donate to my library who had to use inter-library loan system to obtain this book for me. I want the children in my town to have the opportunity to appreciate these beautiful creatures.
