Features & Highlights

  • June Hart is an affectionate and chatty first-grade teacher who comes from a family of wealthy, money-driven doctors, except her grandmother. When June inherits her grandmother's 1920's farmhouse, she is compelled to remodel it, hoping to show her egotistical family she is capable of being more than an insubstantial teacher.
  • In the process, she finds herself spending a considerable amount of time with her hot and ill-tempered contractor, Grant Dawes.
  • Grant Dawes is a grouchy handyman who can seem to fix everything except his troubled past. His lack of family and friends leaves him to put all of his focus on restoring homes. That is until a polka dot, crocheting, vanilla coke-obsessed client pushes her way in to throw off his routines.
  • When he falls for his sweet-natured client, June Hart, Grant is forced to confront his complicated history to have a future with her.
  • Join June and Grant in this grumpy/sunshine, small-town romance and find yourself falling for this opposites-attract duo!

Adorable Story!

4.5 stars!

This is not my usual genre or read, so I started it with that understanding. But this book was so adorable and light and fluffy and just an amazingly quick read.

And with my own husband who lacks the ability to express emotions and strong urge to always fix things, it really just hit me in all the feels.

Charming, Sweet, Endearing

I LOVED this book! I was drawn to it the second I stumbled on the cover on Instagram. It didn't disappoint. Not one bit. It had so much heart-warming innocence, nostalgia, pure love, even grief and loss interweaved in. This book is a keeper and I'm excited to read it over and over. My grandma's name was June, she passed away just a couple months ago. This book reminded me so much of her. Thank you for writing this book.

An awesome debut

First off a HUGE thank you to Juliana for the ARC of her debut novel I Can Fix That. When she messaged me to ask if I’d be interested I was so excited because I had already been eyeballing her page and I knew I wanted to get the book when it came out based off the cover alone, I’m a sucker for a good cover!

Grumpy/sunshine meets small town… the perfect recipe for a feel good book.

June, a first grade teacher, inherits her grandmothers cottage, a cottage she spent a good chunk of her childhood in. The place needs work and she tries really hard to do it herself but falls short and that’s when her family tries to convince her to sell it. She hires a contractor by the name of Grant who everyone knows and usually for the wrong reasons other than he’s easy on the eyes. But, he is sure that he can help her fix the cottage no matter how much work it needs. The two of them develop an insane chemistry and the rest is history.

The only complaint I have is I would love to know more of Grants story. The book is written in mostly June’s POV and that’s okay, cause it was still a great read. I loved all the characters. Such a fun light read.

Guys, this book blew me away, seriously- a debut novel? It read as if she’s been writing for years. Juliana’s writing style is so fun and descriptive but so easy to read too. I can’t wait to read whatever else she writes!

Go read it when it comes out, you won’t regret it 🤍
