I can't recommend this enough... For realz

I thought that this approach simply might be more digestible for a new reader. Boy was I right. This workbook is fantastic and teaches concepts slowly and clearly. I am so happy I went this way for my new reader. He is reading beautifully and also spelling since the worksheets require both. I can't recommend this enough. My only suggestion: go through the concepts slowly and practice each sheet several times before moving on.

I think this slow and clear method is simply more accessible at an earlier age than other workbooks I've used and tried.

Nobody encouraged this review. I took a shot and found and bought this on my own accord.

I wrote the same review for book B because that's where my son is right now, but this book was what took him there. I can't wait to do the final Blast Off To Reading book with him. I can't recommend this series enough. Quite impressive.

It is very accessible and fun for children with visual processing delays

I used this book over the summer to help my 5yo and 6yo sons overcome some anxiety about learning to read. It is very accessible and fun for children with visual processing delays. The flashcards and games on the website that correspond with the book are great too. My sons both ask to play monster phonics and the rocket game from the website. It's a great system.

My only negative is the mistakes that can be found in the publishing of this book. I have found several mistakes and at times those mistakes throw my son for a loop when trying to find the correct answer.

These Books Work!

I never write reviews but this book has made me so happy I could cry. My daughter is actually reading on her own and has gained so much confidence. Even though we have made the decision to hold her in 2nd grade another year I have no doubts she will be very successful and it's because of these books. I bought A,B and C and she's moving right along. I highly recommend for your child if they have Dyslexia.

Wish we had it sooner!

My daughter, 7, has excellent comprehension, but she has struggled with decoding. She needs more direct phonics instruction than her school provided. I am an teacher but teach older children and wanted a program that we could do this summer. This book has started teaching her the phonics base she missed at school!

I love that it has online games (for free) to go with each lesson. The online games provide the needed repetition to master the skills. We have already bought Book B.
