Description

About the Author James Maxwell grew up in the scenic Bay of Islands, New Zealand, and was educated in Australia. Devouring fantasy and science-fiction classics from an early age, his love for books translated to a passion for writing, which he began at the age of eleven. Inspired by the natural beauty around him but also by a strong interest in history, he decided in his twenties to see the world. He relocated to London and then to Thailand, Mexico, Austria, and Malta, developing a lifelong obsession with travel. It was while living in Thailand that he seriously took up writing again, producing his first full-length novel, Enchantress , the first of four titles in his internationally bestselling Evermen Saga. Iron Will is the fourth and final novel in his latest series, The Shifting Tides. When he isn’t writing or traveling, James enjoys sailing, snowboarding, classical guitar, and French cooking.

Excellent plot twisting excitement and a real page-turner!

This was a thoroughly satisfying end to the series "The Shifting Tides". The author edged the suspense with more character development and plenty of twists and turns. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going it zig-zaged in another direction. It was so captivating that I read almost non-stop until it was finished.
Keep up the good work, James Maxwell. It is always a pleasure to read anything by this author. He never disappoints.

Good Fantasy Escape

I have an intense job and enjoy escaping into fantasy and mystery or both, when I return home. I have liked the previous books in this series better than this one as it seemed in some ways redundant. But nevertheless I still enjoyed the story as it moved on. The battle scene descriptions became somewhat tedious and brought my attention to less than rapt. I wanted to skip some sections to get on with the storyline. I think that this is book 3 or 4 in the series.

10/10 Great for any fans of Fantasy! I love the concept of the Eldren and I'm sad to be done with the series :(
