The associated app does not work.

I have purchased many DK books in the past and I love the visual presentation and organization of the books and this one is no different. However the book is advertised as having a companion app for mobile devices. This unfortunately is where a serious problem lies. The app does not function, at all, for anyone. Every review of the app states the same thing, that is does not function and the content that is supposed to come with the book purchase can not be unlocked. Unfortunate as the book itself is what I was hoping for but I expected the app to work as well.

Very explicit

I'm a teacher and I bought this for one of my ESOL students to help him learn english. I did not realize that there were naked people, alcohol, and guns in this book. Great for adults! Probably not the best book for an 8 year old boy who's teacher just gave him a very inappropriate resource. I ended up using marker to color all of the pictures, and (as far as I know) he still has it in his desk and uses it on occasion

Pro: Excellent illustrations. Well thought out and organized categories. An ebook version would be a sure hit.

Very nice resource for vocabulary. I can't believe another reviewer called it explicit lol. It has anatomical pictures, people have bodies it's not inappropriate. My 8 year old likes to flip to those pages and laugh at the butts sometimes but that's fine. It's a good resource for her to learn Italian words.
