Fun to learn and easy to follow

I love that a CD is included to help with pronunciation! I am going to Japan to see my son and daughter-in-law in the fall and they recommended this book because their Japanese instructor did! Learning Kanji reminds me of when I was in school and me and my friends had a secret code. Once you understand the meanings it becomes clearer as you go on.

Highly recommend

The book is great. You think you learn one Kanji but you actually learn about 4-6 Kanji every time. It is very useful to learn the root of the Kanji so that you can grow to other vocabularies in the same root with a lot less effort.

Great for Learning Kanji Characters

This book is exactly what I was looked for: learning kanji. You don't need any kanji experience to get the best use out of it, but you should probably know Hiragana first. This book provides mnemonics to memorize kanji, space for writing practice, and also provides related vocabulary you can study. At the end of each section there are about three activities on what you just learned. My only complaint is that I wish there were more activities in utilizing the learned vocabulary.

VERY USEFUL

There are many kanji books, but this one is nicely done and very affordable: excellent value for the money. The 430 kanji signs are arranged thematically with many exercises and reading texts. Very useful material is on the CD-Rom, also available for download: flash cards, audio, reading passages. Highly recommended.

I would consider this book as a very valuable companion volume to the must-have reference book "Japanese Kanji & Kana" by Hadamitzky and Spahn ( https://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Kanji-Kana-Complete-Writing-ebook/dp/B00BOE169U/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=hadamitzky&qid=1568919194&sr=8-1 ).

An excellent addition to my Japanese language books

An excellent addition to my Japanese language books, if you are ready to learn Kanji I highly recommend this. Each kanji is drawn and explained along with some cartoon drawings as a memory reference. A great buy.

Great Kanji primer for older kids and adults

This is an excellent, multi-sensory (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic) product for learning how to read, write, and pronounce Kanji. I purchased it for my daughter, who became interested in Japanese writing systems from a school unit on Japan, and I'd recommend it for ages 8 through adult.
