Story fantastic! Audio version not so much

In this true story, a lawyer escapes a kidnapper bent on murdering her only to find she has to fight the justice system even harder to keep him from coming back to kill her. The story is spellbinding, but the audiobook could have been done better.

The chapters vary in quality—some are loud and clear, others are more muted. The voice-over artist does a good job of adding emotion and performing different voices for the characters, but it would have been better if some portions of the book had not been read aloud, e.g. in some of the courtroom scenes, the back-and-forth questioning was designated as Q and A, and that is how it is read over and over. Q (what the prosecutor or defense attorney says) and A (what the witness replies). That works ok in the print version but not in an audiobook. I much prefer the book, which I also bought (see picture).

(Be sure to note that this is an MP3 version. It won't play on a standard CD player.)
