Features & Highlights

  • The first three
  • Kingdom Keepers
  • books from award winning author, Ridley Pearson, is now available in a box set with an exclusive Kingdom Keepers Handbook!
  • In book one, five young teens tapped as models for theme park "guides" find themselves pitted against Disney villains and witches that threaten both the future of Walt Disney World and the stability of the world outside its walls. Using a cutting-edge technology called DHI--which stands for both Disney Host Interactive and Daylight Hologram Imaging--Finn Whitman, an Orlando teen, and four other kids are transformed into hologram projections that guide guests through the park. The new technology turns out, however, to have unexpected effects that are both thrilling and scary. Soon Finn finds himself transported in his DHI form into the Magic Kingdom at night. Is it real? Is he dreaming? In book two, the mystery deepens as Finn is contacted by Wayne, an old man he hasn't heard from in months. Wayne tells Finn that there's trouble at the Animal Kingdom: the evil Overtakers have gained control of one of the computer servers that will be used to operate Daylight Holographic Imaging there. That means that if any of the holographic hosts fall asleep, they will go into comas―permanently. Then in book three, Finn, Philby, Willa, Charlene, and Maybeck search to find Wayne, who has mysteriously gone missing. Concerned that Wayne has been abducted by the Overtakers, the five kids pick up a major clue from their close friend whose dreams (nightmares, really) often accurately predict the future. Clues from a dream lead the kids into Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Each clue seems tied to the last, and with the stakes growing ever higher, what starts out as a puzzle ends up as a fight for survival.

I also thought it was the full set of books. I would not have purchased it if I'd known it was only books 1-3.

I agree with the other reviews in that this "set" only contains 3 books when 7 are actually part of the series. I love the series and was very excited to be able to get the set. That excitement turned to disappointment when only 3 books arrived. Nowhere did the description state that only 3 books were in the set so I ordered it trusting that "set" meant the complete set.
Frustrating and disappointing!!!

I distinctly remember it being the full set of Disney's Kingdom Keepers although the dscription does not list it as such. My Grandkids were looking forward to having the full set of books. They have the first two already and had I known this, I would not have bought it. I would have bought the rest of the books separately for about the same price.

I am deeply disappointed and I hope that this get's fixed and the full set is sent to us.

Buyer beware.

I bought this set for my daughter who loves the books but I am disappointed that this boxed "set" didn't include all of the books. I feel duped but I also suppose that I should have done more research before buying to make sure that all of the books in the series were included. She's happy so I am happy and I guess that I will be buying the others for her after she finishes this set.

Great series for any Disney fan

Excellent series. Both my daughter an I are hooked. I have never been to Disney World but feel I can see every location easily and know right where the Keepers are. Love the reality of the Villains. You feel that their personalities are just as they would be if they had come to life. They are not you roaming cast-members character. I am sure any Disney fan would love this series.

Great compromise for an 8yr old girl with a 12th grade reading level.

My 8yr old reads at a 12th grade level. This makes finding books for her a little difficult. Books in her reading level are usually not appropriate or interesting for a girl her age. Yet the books that are lower in level but written for her age she loves, but will blow through them in a half hour. The Kingdom Keepers were recommended and I have to say that they are great. A good balance for keeping her interest and enjoyably challenging.
We have recommended the series to some others who were in the same boat with their kids. We all had the same experience of the start of the first book was rather slow for them. The character development and setting the stage for the series took a while for kids with an 8yr old attention span. Some kids even wanted to give up on it. But then once they got into the meat of the book, the excitement took off. My daughter couldn't wait to get the next book and is now looking forward to the next already. It's great!
So, if you have the same situation as we do, I would suggest maybe reading the first few chapters with them or encourage them to keep going with the first book. After that they will just eat it up!
My only issue maybe that she now wants to go to Disney world stat! This book series may prove to become quite expensive! Haha!

As stated in other comments, this is only the first three books, which is a bit sad, but I was thankful to not have to buy them separately. In really good shape. I haven't read all of them yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Disappointing

Two stars for being a nice box set BUT this is not advertised in the description as only being three books. I was expecting all 7 books as the "boxed set" and am disappointed enough (since the price doesn't really justify what I received) that these will be going back.
