Features & Highlights

  • You are so young. You may wonder what an old man like me could teach? I wonder as well. I certainly don't claim to know all the answers. I'm barely figuring out the questions...Life has a strange way of repeating itself and I want my experience to help you...My hope is that you'll consider my words and remember my heart.
  • Harry Whitney is dying. He has Alzheimer's disease, and he knows his "good" time is dwindling. So he compiles a book of poems for his favorite granddaughter, Emily, hoping that his words of hard-won wisdom will heal the old wounds that are tearing his family apart. But Harry's poems contain much more than meets the eye -- clues and riddles that lead to an extraordinary cache of letters and a promise of hidden gold. As Emily and her family uncover Harry's secrets one by one, they learn unforgettable lessons about romance, forgiveness and hope that might hold them all together.

He is good at telling stories.

Not as good as his other two books. It was a fast read and based on his experience with his dad, so informative. Didn't expect the twist in the plot.
He writes very well.

Legacy

It only took a few hours to read this book. Hands down one of the best ever. I have read his other books, The Rent Collector and The Orphan Keeper. What an amazing, gifted writer. Makes me realize how important it is to share my thoughts with my children and grandchildren. I certainly couldn't began to do it as he did, but will be done with much love. Cam't wait for his next book.

Unique story!

Slow in places but overall excellent writing, intriguing plot, and great insight being passed on by the grandfather. Some surprises are woven in -- really a fun read!

I loved this book!

This book is so good, it is a sweet and tender book about family relationships. Camron is a good author, he is so versatile. This book is so different from his The Rent Collector it's hard they were both written by the same author. I loved both books.

Great read.

A quick read with some great insights into human behavior. Many people judge or are judged too quickly without the benefit of compassion and trying to really get to know a person and their backgrounds and history. Beautiful story.
