Sequel even better than original!

I loved the birthday list! Cole and Poppy were amazing! But the second chance with Molly and Finn? So perfect! They divorced six years ago. She cheated and Finn was never able to forgive and forget. But after a night of too much wine the exes wake up in bed together. Oh my goodness! This book was just wonderful. Definitely check out this duet. My first reads by Devney Perry and won’t be my last.

It all started with a mowed lawn and a slice of pizza

I didn't want to like Finn I really didn't but from his first chapter I fell in love with him. All he wants is his family, he got a little sidetracked by what was important after watching his sister go through a huge loss. Finn isn't super comfy with voicing his feelings so he writes them down.
After all of these years someone is sending them to Molly.
But not every feeing he wrote made me tear up in a good way. This book was definitely a roller coaster for the heart but it ends in an HEA and laughs for the Maysen Jar Family.

Beautiful Second Chance Romance 💕

5/5 ⭐️
2/5 🔥

This is Book 2 of the Maysen Jar series. I recommend reading Book 1, The Birthday List, first as they are interconnected.

The audiobook is FANTASTIC!

I absolutely loved this second chance romance!

Finn and Molly have been divorced for
6 years. One night after Finn stays to have family dinner at Molly’s, they end up rekindling that flame. A series of letters that Finn wrote Molly throughout the years (but never delivered) end up showing up in Molly’s mailbox. The letters force them to re-examine their relationship, history and discover what went wrong. There is still a lot of love there and slowly they find their way back to each other.

Finn and Molly were a dream! True love! 💕

"Darling Molly..."

"Darling Molly..."

It's been an eternity since I was able to finish a book in one sitting. This one? This one did the job.

Divorced and single, Molly Todd is just trying to be the cool mother to her two kids while navigating her life six years after her divorce. But when letters from her ex-husband start showing up in her mailbox and reigniting feelings that perhaps never died, things get just a tad more complicated.

Admittedly, I was terrified to read this book. It had a trope that I don't normally touch with a ten foot latex protected pole (view spoiler) and yet, I went through with it because it was Devney Perry, and I am a totally helpless for her work! I'm so glad I did because I can't imagine what my life would be like had I not read this book.

Molly–I thought I was going to hate her. I really did. But somehow, I loved her so much. Despite everything that happened between them and everything that she did, I wanted nothing but the best for her. She was such a sweet character and a really good mother to her kids. Finn–he was everything. I loved him so much, despite all the mistakes in their past and everything that he did as well. I literally couldn't chose between these two because I adored them and I just wanted them to be happy forever with an enormous garden and all the lilacs, lilies, and burgers in the world.

The letters themselves broke my heart, but they were raw, honest, and real–sometimes even brutally so. I was almost terrified for some awful third act conflict between them, but there was no such thing. The way their story developed was absolutely everything. Finn & Molly will hold such a special place in my heart because they were incredible. You just felt that they were meant to be. That they were a couple that was perfect for one another. That they were always supposed to find one another.

This book just solidified my belief that love and compatibility aren't always the same thing. But, when you find that one in a million person who makes you smile on the darkest days and stands by you through it all, the fight is worth it.
