Love At The Bluebird

I was so excited to catch up with Aly after hearing about her in Until Valerie! Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin teamed up and wrote an exceptional book regarding insta-love, fame, and how others will not determine how a relationship will evolve. This book is a must read and will leave you with a goofy grin and a heart full of love.

Always love a music industry storyline! With Gavin being new to the music industry and already feeling jaded, he has learned a lot about the industry and the people within it. At his latest gig, he sees Alyson and without knowing anything about her feels this magnetic pull to her that he can’t let her go without meeting her. With Alyson’s job in the music industry, she knows the type of people out there and has vowed to never date someone involved with it, but after meeting Gavin she can’t help herself because of the pull they have. The pair work through a few rocky situations, such as Alyson working for a different label than Gavin is signed with as well as his insane travel schedule, but they seem to make it work until the people in the industry play their part and cause problems for the couple. It made me want to jump into the book and shake Gavin for the assumptions and misunderstanding, and my heart truly felt for Alyson, especially after it sparks her decision to make some big life changes. Thankfully, they have friends that rally around them and work to bring them back together and I’m so happy they were able come out on the other side of the industry’s drama.

Freakin loved this book! Totally reminds me of the tv show Nashville lol! The Bluebird Cafe, where performers can have small get together performances. Gavin is totally the gentleman country boy, who is chivalrous and smokin hot! The whole, "sees her across the room and falls in love" thing is what happens between Gavin and Aly. He is so smitten with her, needs her, needs to see her and be with her every minute . They hit it off and have this smokin romance but whats a story without a little drama? Of course Gavins ex comes into the scene. She is not a nice women.
One of my fav lines: " STOP STARING AT HIM, Aly! HE's going to think you are some pathetic psycho if you don’t stop. Wait, is he staring back at me? Oh my God he is!"

"Not to mention, he's scrumdiddlyumptious hot and has women throwing themselves at him all the time."
Fun fun book, highly recommend it!

Awwww.... Love At The Bluebird is the definition of sweetness and steamy romance personified! This ARR and JM collaboration gave us one of the most beautiful and 'feel good' love stories I've ever read. Truly a master combo and a must read!!! Loved every single second of it!

Woah! This book just consumed my soul. I have such a goofy smile on my face as I write this review. I just cannot help it. I started the book last night and now I am nursing a cup of coffee today because guess who finished this book last night. Yup, that would be me.

If Aurora Rose Reynolds writes a book, I always know it will be some I adore. But now she has opened my eyes up to a new author Jessica Marin. They wrote this book seamlessly together. I will be looking up Jessica Marin after this review to see what else of hers I can devour. That is for sure.

Let me start by saying this book is out of my normal reading clicks. I normally do not do county music sweet reads. Not one second while reading this book did, I think about it not being my normal though, I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

This book has it all ladies and gents. It has all of Aurora classic touches of swoon worthiness and alpha male in it that left me laughing and shaking my head some at our leading man Mr. Gavin McNeer.

Can I just say that I adore Gavin McNeer! My goodness! This man knew what he wanted and went straight for his girl Alyson Dawson. He swooned her and fought for her.

It is early in the year to predict it, but Aly may be in my top five leading ladies of the year. This girl is amazing. She is brilliant, witty, fights for what is hers, and does what is right always. I really enjoyed her character.

There is a little predictable drama in the story but nothing that is over the top. You ladies will love Gavin and Aly's story.

Ohhhh... The supporting cast in the book is ah-mazing! I give them a 10! I hope we see them in the future.

This book is a perfect blend of both Aurora and Jessica's writing!

I'm not a huge fan of books with leading men in the music industry. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Gavin is reminiscent of the men in the Until Series. His take charge attitude when it came to Aly gave me all of the same butterflies that Trevor, Asher, Nico, etc gave him in their series.

Gavin is still a good ole southern boy. He hasn't let stardom get to his head. He has made mistakes in his past relationships but he has learned and grown from it to come out as a better person. Once his eyes connect with Aly's he knows without a doubt this will be the woman he will spend the rest of his life with.

Aly is a woman after my own heart! I love her quirky personality. The relationships with her family, friends and co-workers tells you how amazing she is. The last thing she ever expected was to feel this amazing chemistry with Gavin but she can't deny it. She knows it could end up horribly but she is willing to take chance on him. He sweeps her off her feet and makes her a priority when other men in his position would use her.

Of course there are outside forces that interfere with their relationship. Gavin unfortunately doesn't get the whole story before he cuts Aly of his life. It only takes him a few hours to realize how bad he screwed up. At this point in the book my heart broke for Aly and my heart dropped in my stomach for Gavin.

Thankfully we know that any ARR book will have an HEA but the path to get there is sometimes not as easy as some books. Do not hesitate to read this book! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! It is a wonderful collaboration between 2 authors that you will love.

I've been a fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds for some time now and this book with Jessica Marin did not disappoint. This is a rock star romance with some fun and laughter as well as a smidge of drama. This was a quick read that was just a dash of spicy.
 
It feels like there will be follow-up books with other characters in this book. I'm definitely here for them!!
