Modern Etiquette Made Easy: A Five-Step Method to Mastering Etiquette

This book is light on the etiquette and long on personal anecdotes. Terri Morrison and Emily Post do it better.

I love learning about etiquette, customs, and protocol and was well aware of Myka Meier and her Beaumont School long before this book came out. While she has become something of a press darling, I've always found her a bit contrived and inauthentic. She does have good things to say about a modern approach to living.

I decided to give her book a read to learn more about her approach to modern etiquette. It is a witty and quick read but it doesn't delve too deeply into etiquette standards, behaviours, and methods. In other words, there isn't much to actually learn about etiquette.

She does tell personal stories, which can be inconsistent with her previous press (she sells herself as royalty-adjacent, which, she is not), as a means of illustrating her point. Her approach is cute and light-hearted. Unfortunately, the book is filled with grammatical errors and misidentified laws and theories. Nevertheless, it is a fun read and does offer some insights for the young generation.

Modern Etiquette Made Easy is a great gift for a sweet sixteen. Anyone interested in actual etiquette should read Terri Morrison, Emily Post, Tiffany's Guide, or Letitia Baldrige.

Love the format and information in this charming book of everyday etiquette suitable for everyone. Although Myka Meier is clearly a millennial, she had a broad perspective and clearly knows how to appeal across generations. I am a "woman of a certain age" and I constantly learn from her expertise. Kudos Myka...Well Done!

Myka Meier did a superb job on making etiquette attainable for your typical 21st century American. As discussed in her book, America has become a rather relaxed culture. As an international traveler, I have found that my countrymen often stand out amongst of international travelers! With practice, this book will help the most unrefined individual(traveler) become a blossomed flower.

This is a great quick primer or refresher on etiquette. I have attended one of her classes in person and loved the book as a refresher with a few extra pieces of information. Great to have handy before dinners, interviews or other important outings where manners make the difference.

If you would like to learn how to dress for the occasion, read this book.

These tips are so useful and make a difference not only in how you appear to others but they give you more confidence !

This was such a fun and informative book to read. I loved reading how she came to be interested in etiquette and I really learned a lot as far as etiquette. I highly recommend this book.
