Their adventure in the wilderness results in the solitary mountain man finding himself hitched to a young woman with a passel of relatives, a homestead, and a flock of sheep to care for.As Tucker and Shannon learn to live with each other, strange things begin to happen on Shannon's land. Someone clearly wants to drive her off, but whoever it is apparently didn't count on Tucker. Very good read, especially if you read the first book in the series. It kept my interest all the way through the book. It was a little suspenseful. Can't wait to see if there's a third in this series!

Not a huge fan

Already not a huge fan of westerns, this story had some highly unrealistic elements to it and the story moved rather slowly. The writing style was a bit choppy and hard to understand at times, as well. This was my first Mary Connealy, though, and I have friends who loved her earlier works, so maybe I'll try again starting with one of her first novels. Also, I had not read the first book in this series, and I know it would have probably improved my opinion.

Wonderfully, witty and suspenseful read!!

I've long awaited this book and wasn't disappointed. I flew through this book as well. The book starts by having Shannon through herself along with Tucker off a cliff to avoid a bear attack. After quite a harrowing experience, the couple are coerced into marriage. Mayhem and mishaps occur along the way interspersed with humor all makes for a wonderfully witty book. I cannot wait for the third book!

One of my favorites!

I have to admit, I wasn't sure about this after the first book. It had gotten on my nerves a bit. Let me just say This second book is much better than the first, and I am glad I didn't quit on this series. I enjoyed the characters in this novel more, and they were well described and developed as the story continued. Tucker was an easy going guy, but tough when he needed to be. Shannon was feminine, but tough and could take care of herself if needed. To me, the plot was better and well developed, and kept me curious through the entire book. Including God wasn't overdone, and the message of Him was also good. I would definitely recommend this to any who enjoy Christian historical western romance.
