Description

Bisco Hatori made her manga debut with Isshun kan no Romance (A Moment of Romance) in LaLa DX magazine. The comedy Ouran High School Host Club is her breakout hit. When she's stuck thinking up characters' names, she gets inspired by loud, upbeat music (her radio is set to NACK5 FM). She enjoys reading all kinds of manga, but she's especially fond of the sci-fi drama Please Save My Earth and Slam Dunk , a basketball classic.

Features & Highlights

  • The uproarious comedy about a girl enlisted to work in a lavish host club!
  • In this screwball romantic comedy, Haruhi, a poor girl at a rich kids' school, is forced to repay an $80,000 debt by working for the school's swankiest, all-male club—as a boy! There, she discovers just how wealthy the six members are and how different the rich are from everybody else...Final Volume!Tamaki wants to ask Haruhi out, but he’s quickly overwhelmed trying to plan the best first date in the universe. The members of the Host Club volunteer to assist Tamaki in his endeavor, but can they save their foolish king from himself?

Ouran High School Host Club: Last Volume

Bisco is still very good at romantic comedy in this manga. Things went as I thought (Tamaki and Haruhi getting together), but it happened in a surprising refreshingly funny way. Also, I think this volume is thicker than the other Host Club Volumes; I have more than half...so, I compared. There are peeks into all the main characters' futures (and some of the secondaries).

The end! THE END!!!

It was lovely.

I mean, I’ve read this series since it first came out, and it’s one of only a few that I stayed with even after I got over my manga phase in life, just because I couldn’t bear to abandon the characters and not know how it ended.

So, a few spoilers are ahead so don’t read past here unless you’re good with that:

- I did love that Haruhi and Tamaki finally got together, but it seemed kind of… OOC at times? Like the cuddling thing. I can’t get over that.

- I looooooooved that Hikaru and Kaoru became older brothers to a little sister!!!! And her personality!!!! I would love to see a series based on just that, haha.

- The other character’s endings were fitting, no complaints. I loved Kyouya’s.

Overall it was a nice, bittersweet ending. I am sad to see it over, but glad that I now know that all the characters had good endings. It's like saying goodbye to a lot of old, dear friends.

Perfect Ending

I started reading Ouran High School Host Club after watching the anime about a year ago and I've been thrilled with the series from start to finish, there is not a single book I had anything bad to say about (other than the insane amount of cliffhangers but they were necessary so it's ok) but this one was phenomenal, I could not have asked for a better ending to this series. 5/5 (if I could give more stars I would)

Waah it's over!

I put off buying this for so long. Ouran is one of my top five manga series for sure, and I was so sad to see it end. Some people might not like the way it ends, but I can't fault Hatori for wanting to end it as positively as possible. I love the extra drawings that show glimpses into the futures of the Host Club characters!
