Harper has had a hell of a time the last couple of years. The man she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with ended up being even more of a loser then she already thought he was. Now the divorce is final and she's content to live her life without love and men, she can't risk what's left of her heart. Meeting Jack though has her heart beating a different tune. She loves the way he makes her feel. He cherishes her, protects her and makes her just feel wanted.

Jack is opening a new business, he's got too much on his plate as it is. He doesn't need a woman but one walks into his restaurant and he was instantly drawn to her. He wanted her badly. When he got to talk to her he wanted to know more. When someone started trying to hurt her he had to protect her.

I really enjoyed this book. This is Jessa's first book and I have to say she hit it out of the park! Jack is sexy and intense. He is a chef and lord is that hot! I know how can a man that cooks be sexy but it is. There is an air of confidence about Jack that gives him the appeal. Harper has been through the wringer and she's gunshy about men. Her ex was a complete douche bag. Jacks seems to good to be true. Could that be the case?

FYI this book does end in a cliffhanger but the second one is coming out September 28th so you won't have long to wait to see what happens.

I received an ARC of this book and as Jessa York is a new author to me I was excited to dive into her world. This is Jessa's debut novel and it does not disappoint! Told with the restaurant industry as a backdrop, Jessa York thoroughly draws you in. The hero, Jack, is a chef and restaurant owner who is not only a talented chef, but a bit of a dirty talker, with a heart of gold. Let's face it. There is nothing sexier than a man who wants to express his love for you through his love of food. Swoon! Then he runs into, Harper (literally), who has been broken by a bitter divorce, and this sexy, sweet man is done for. If you are looking for a funny, sweet, sexy read with well developed secondary characters served with a side of angst, drama and a few twists and turns, then Over Easy is for you. Be aware this does end in a cliffy, but take heart, you will not have to wait too long for the next book in this sizzling series, Over Hard

Wow, what an amazing read! Love the connection and the extra characters are really developed as well. What a cliff hanger, too.

Over Easy is the debut book of Jessa York and I must say that I really enjoyed it. I mean who doesn’t like a man that cooks for you all the time... swoon!!!
Jack is a chef, he is sexy, sweet and with lots of baggage. He’s restaurant comes first, and is not looking for any relationships. But once Harper is in the picture things begin to change.
Harper is divorced, she is not looking for anything butter friends really want her to move on and live life. When she decides to go out with her friends she meets Jack. Sparks fly between the two and is so romantic and sweet how this two interact. Although I must admit at times Harper need it a slapped across the head because she is so clueless, but I loved her innocence at the same time.
This two have a journey to complete and I really can’t wait to see what Jessa delivers next. Great easy, swoon worthy read.

Jessa York's debut novel Over Easy is great! Harper is damaged emotionally after her ex, and Jack is hiding some things from the start.

Harper is very down on herself when her friends finally intervene and drag her out of the house to meet her next new man.

Jack makes comments from the beginning that seem to cement his manwhore status, but then acts in ways that contradict that.

Things that make me a little uneasy are Harper's constant need to put herself down, and Jack's explosive temper that seems to appear without adequate reasons.

The next book, Over Hard comes out in September within weeks of Over Easy so hopefully we won't have to wait that long for our happily ever after.

Over Easy (Santa Lena Sizzles Book 1), Jessa York's debut novel is a contemporary romance told in dual POV that ends with a cliffhanger. The story follows the relationship between beautiful divorcee, Harper, and sexy chef and restaurateur, Jack.

From their first chance meeting, Jack is completely smitten with Harper, but she's got a lot of baggage from her ex-husband who treated her badly and cheated on her. Jack also has some baggage of his own, but we're not privy to the details. He has a big secret that is revealed in the last chapter.

Not to spoil anything, I'll just say that I really enjoyed reading this. The characters were likeable and very fun, especially the secondary ones. There was a great blend of humor with romance, mystery, drama, sexy times and some suspense. I can't wait to read what happens next! Great debut!

This is a new romance author to me and I was lucky enough to win an ARC of the first book in the Santa Lena Sizzles duet. I really enjoyed the book. It is a funny, sweet, sexy romance about second chance love. Jack and Harper are great couple, but both come with some baggage. In this first book, Harper's baggage is more apparent than Jack's, which is shrouded in a bit of mystery. Harper's friends and colleagues are terrific secondary characters some of whom also have a bit of mystery surrounding them. The book does end on a cliffhanger and left me wanting more. The good news is that it appears book #2 will be released not long after the first book so reader's shouldn't have to wait long to see how the story plays out.

A great debut book by Jessa York! This book has the recipe for a great romance- relatable characters, supportive relationships, suspense, chemistry, caring.....

Harper is just out of a bad marriage and not trusting! She meets Jack, who sweeps her off her feet. He’s attractive, caring, is an excellent chef, supportive of her. She falls and falls hard for him.

Harper is surrounded by funny, supportive friends and family who only want the best for her. She has an ex-husband who keeps stalking her. Jack is there for her, all of the readers swooning over him, until you get to the end.......

Wow- what a surprise at the end but after all this is a duet! I can’t wait to read Over Hard to see the conclusion. I really enjoyed Jessa York’s first book, a great story that kept me wanting more!

All I can say is WOW!! I can't believe this is a new author and her first book! I was sucked in from the beginning and loved how the book flowed. It was soo good that when I got to the end I was sad but can't wait for the next one. Well I will anxiously be waiting for the next book in this duet.

2018 has been a year of new discoveries and recommendations and I will definately be reading more from this author.

Absolutely love this book. So excited for the rest of the series.
