Politically Correct Bedtime Stories

At last! In my attempt to modernize my parents (especially my white cis hetero father) and teach them valuable lessons that they can use in life, I have found this book! I was a bit on edge, as I'm sure you can imagine, when purchasing this book. I had my concerns that this work, though it is advertised to be "politically correct", would still contain some offensive material that would scandalize a womon, such as myself, but none were found as I glanced through each of the beautifully politically-correct stories in this marvelous collection! Finally I can teach my cis-white-father how to properly respect all people (especially us womyn) as I read him to sleep every night! No other book could compare to this masterfully rewritten mistresspiece! Thank you so much James Finn Garner (though I do forgive you for being a man, and I'm ever so proud of you for attempting to rectify your gender's mistakes through this obvious CORRECTION to the original tales that were all written by oppressive white-cis-males!) for this book, and I'll be sure to pass it backwards for my father to read to his father so that we can all learn how to be politically-correct in such a trying day and age! Goddess bless you (and I say that figuratively, obviously, since I do not subscribe to such archaic oppressive male-enforced ideas such as religion, though if there were a supreme being, she would be female).

Politically Correct Bedtime Stories is a collection of fairy tales and poems made hilariously politically correct. Some are changed better (and are more funny) than others. It is a fun, quick read. I recommend it!

The rhetoric in this book is superb! I love how many stabs are taken against the absurdity of modern society. Definite great book for adult bed time stories.

I believe this was meant not as a way of ridiculing PC, but rather an attempt at humor that falls flat. It's not even funny. I can actually imagine it working as a stage production, but after a few paragraphs, you've gotten the idea, perhaps smiled once, and you've had enough. Browse through someone's copy and you'll've gotten the idea.

Delightful book! I got one as a gift and fell in love. I have ordered them for gifts. So very funny!

I'd owned & lent out, my 1st edition of this book. Never saw the book, again. But, this 20th anniversary edition(w/ an additional P.C. story)makes up for it. A tremendous read from a tremendous author.

Holy s*** is this book amazing. I was smiling and laughing 90% of the time. Cinderella is the best.

Not as good as his Christmas book. We're actually sorry we bought this one.

A hoot. Must be kept for future family.
