Prick: A Stepbrother Romance

There are a lot of Stepbrother books lately and this one is good but doesn’t stand out for me. I liked that Caulter and Katherine were complete opposites but both were a little bit too immature for me. Also the story had a lot of similar parts that end in sex and if you take that from the book there isn’t much story left. I would have loved more interaction with the parents, bitchy PR manager Mona and especially housekeeper Rose. The character that popped up more was Katherine’s ‘friend’ Jo but she isn’t likable and the scenes where she appears had no added value to the book. I didn’t like the time jumps at the end of the book and would have loved for that part to be more extensive. But the princess and the prick get their HEA and isn’t that what we always want for our book characters … 3 stars for me.

I had already bought books 2 Tool and 3 Cannon and I will read them but not right now.

Prick was a book that seemed to catch fire all at once. It seemed everyone I knew was talking about it. When Megan started raving, I knew I had to read it. I was a little concerned because I like nice heroes. Not, well, Pricks. But hey, worth a shot. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Prick is delicious and dirty. There is one particular scene that I will not tell you about except to say this: Expect it to make the list of hottest scenes in this year’s Best of the Bedroom awards.

Overall Rating: 5 stars- Screw sleep! I’ll let the kids watch TV and eat hot dogs tomorrow.

The thing about Caulter is that’s he’s not actually such a prick. I mean, he’s cocky, sure. But the joy of having alternating first person narrative (which is my favorite, btw) is getting to see inside his head and see that he’s actually kind of a softy. (But only in his head. The rest of him is rock hard. Mmhmm.)

And then there’s Katherine. I really don’t like virgin stories, but it fits so well in the book here that I loved it. And since Caulter turns her into a sex-fiend it’s awesome. She’s the good girl with a naughty streak. It’s great.

The whole premise of the book is actually fairly unique. I mean, step-sibling stories seem to be abounding right now, but the daughter of a politician and the son of a celebrity made the story different and intriguing.

Really, I absolutely loved Prick. The writing is top-notch, the characters are likeable but not perfect, and the sex is un-freaking-believably hot. This was an awesome read that I can’t recommend enough.

Character likability: 5 stars- He’s my book boyfriend and I want to BE her.
Storytelling: 5 stars- I wake up thinking this really happened.

OMG this was one of my first stepbrother romances and I fell in love! The characters are amazing and Sabrina gave them such a great story! Definitely a must read

I got this book on a whim. I had never heard of the author and am not particularly partial to step sibling romance but HOLY COW! I loved this book. Caulder and Kate were the epitome of opposites attract. So different but on some levels the same. I felt an instant connection to the characters and wanted to keep reading their story.
Ever so brief synopsis with no spoilers. Katherine (Kate or Princess as Caulder calls her) and Caulder (p*****, a**h***, pick any other mean thing to say to a man) went to school together. Caulder is the classic bad boy manwh**e and Katherine is the classic goody two shoes virgin. Caulder and Kate get together for one night. Things happen. They meet up again and their parents are getting married. It is so much more than I am describing but this is the best I can do without giving too much away.
Some readers complained that because the couple was so young they couldn't experience some of the depth of feelings that they do but keep in mind that both of H/h had gone through a lot and grew up very fast. Their level of emotional maturity is beyond that of a normal 18 or 19 year old even though they do act childish at times. I'm in my 40's and don't act my age either.

I heard about this book when I discovered the sequel and was glad I did because this was an exciting, steamy, forbidden (in a sense) story. Sabrina always writes thrilling stories that give excitement to readers making reading a book all the more exciting.
The forbidden aspect of the story was steamy in how they continued with their lust for each other regardless of their parents' relationship and was hysterical at times with how much they claimed they hated each other making this a great comical steamy thrilling romance!

Katherine and Caulter met in high school. She was the good girl, he was a player and a prick, who slept with any girl he wanted, except Katherine. Katherine decides she doesn't want to go to college, and still be a virgin, so she asks the one guy she knows that will say yes to a one night stand. When she graduates, Katherine doesn't expect to see Caulter again. They are both surprised to find out that Katherine's father is going to marry Caulter's mother. They spend most of the summer trying to avoid each other, and insulting each other. Caulter is still a prick, and Katherine finds his arrogance growing on her. How long can they resist the attraction that is still there between them? Will they get caught? What will happen when their parents marry? This was a great, hot book that I will definitely recommend on my blog. I look forward to reading more about Katherine and Caulter.

I'm not sure how I found this book, but it is the first book I've read by this author, and it turned me into a fan. I have to say it was super hot. I'm thinking of creating a new Goodreads shelf just for it titled Best Dirty Talk. Man, oh man, can he talk. Whew! Where's my fan? Where are some smelling salts?

I loved these characters. It wasn't just about the hot, dirty talking sex, but had some real depth and emotion to it. The sexual tension between these two characters was absolutely amazing, and the conflict was perfect.

I was very engaged by the author's writing, and I found myself really flying through the pages. This book made me a fan of the author, and I immediately went out and got Tool. I will definitely be reading the third book.

WHOA. Let me just say, I can't get enough of the stepbrother romance theme, and Prick did not leave me hanging. I ate up this story. The sexual tension alone was leaving me steaming. Sabrina Paige is a wonderful writer, and I was never distracted by poor spelling or punctuation. The story flowed effortlessly and the banter between Caulter and Kate was spot on and had me laughing throughout the whole back. I absolutely loved this one. 5 perfect stars!

This story starts out when Katherine decides to get her v card punched before graduation. She picks someone that she believes she would never see again. When her father decides to suprise Her with his new fiancé she and stepbrother, low and behold it is the Coulter the guys she though she would never see again.
Over the course of the simmer they develop a secret fling.
In the end they have a on again off again relationship with a lovely ending. Sabrina is an awesome writer. Can't wait to read more.

I freaking LOVED this book!!!! It was my first Sabrina Paige read and now she has me hooked! I was a little unsure about the whole step-brother romance genre but now I'm obsessed!

The whole book will have you hooked and the writing was very well done. The story flows so well between angst and steam that you just can't put it down. I hate how some books all the sex scenes start to blend together and honestly get boring so it was so refreshing to read one that each one was different and made you swoon every time!

Im now a Sabrina stalker and can't wait to dive into Tool next!!!!
