Description

Nicole Archer's lengthy career as an advertising copywriter not only polished her writing skills-it provided a lifetime of book material. Many months her book purchases are as high as her mortgage. As a full-time, working single mom of a beautiful, brilliant, and horrifically energetic son, she has little time to do much else but work, write, read, drink wine, and breathe. In real life, she lives in Dallas, Texas, but she'd rather live in Switzerland.

Features & Highlights

  • What’s worse than driving across country in a phallic-shaped RV with a coworker you hate? Falling in love with them.
  • Copywriter Callie Murphy has a bad attitude, a vicious tongue, and a serious aversion to Shimura Advertising’s resident manwhore, Walker Rhodes. Know where he can stick his good looks and Southern charm? She can think of a few creative places. Avoiding him wouldn’t be a problem, except her boss threatens to fire her if she doesn’t go along with him on their RV client’s cross-country tour.
  • Walker is sick of his job, tired of women, and in a big old creative rut. The upcoming client road trip is just what he needs to shake things up and rediscover his lost passion. But his plans go south when his partner drops out at the last minute, and Callie, the foul-mouthed tiny terror, takes her place. Unless he can find a way to thaw his icy coworker, he’s looking at two months of pure hell.

Road-Tripped (Ad Agency #1)
By: Nicole Archer
3/5
Road-Tripped is about two coworkers traveling across country in an RV. Callie and Walker are forced to go on this trip together in client’s RV for a cross country tour. Walker has this trip planned to help him rediscover his passion but the plans get throttled when his partner cancels on him. With the threat of being fired, the company boss threatens Callie to join him. Callie has a bad attitude and a serious dislike of Walker who is man in the office that likes to have a different flavor of the week twice a week.. She hates the idea of being stuck in a RV with the man who is good looking and has a southern charm to him. Walker has to fight to thaw his icy road trip partner or he is looking at a couple of miserable months on the road.
There are so many tropes in this book but I could not help but devour the first novel in the Ad Agency series. Callie makes me want to punch people but I just love her crass and nasty personality. Walker, aside from being a man who gets around is a dreamboat (personally, I think that is what makes him a whore).
The minor immaturity coming from the two ADULTS in the book made me cringe a bit and the drug use was not something I was happy with (I almost DNF’d the book at that point) but to be honest, Callie and Walker intrigued me. I wanted to see how the road trip ended and if there was a happy ending or not.
Being Archer’s first novel, I was impressed! This was an easy and mostly enjoyable read.

Road-Tripped is a trip!!!!

What a fantastic debut novel by Nicole Archer! I don't normally read comedic romance novels, but we chose this in our book club and I couldn't be more pleased. It was a quick and entertaining read that I devoured in just over a week. The characters are well drawn out and funny, especially the foul mouthed and stubborn Callie. The cross country trip in the Silver Dildo was fun from start to end and the addition of a soundtrack to go with it (on Spotify) was a fantastic touch. The novel is funny, well written and deliciously dirty! (fair warning, the language is sometime not for the faint of heart)

Creative, Sexy, and Hilarious!

5 Star Review
Road-Tripped, Ad Agency Series Book 1, is the marvelous debut novel by Nicole Archer. It is just as hysterically hilarious as it is witty, artistic, and downright sinfully sexy. The characters are incredibly well developed and the flirty banter between the characters is out of this world. Told in alternating points of view between Callie and Walker, this is a standalone novel that does have an epilogue at the end.

“Handsome, gentlemanly, smart, and talented. Walker seemed like the perfect catch. Except for one thing.”

Callie Murphy thinks life can’t get any worse. After a terrible break up, she finds herself in New York working for her friends Ad Agency. But, just when you think you’re at your lowest, something can always make it worse, and being assigned to go on a two month trip with who she believes to be the womanizer of the office, Walker Rhodes, is just the tip of the iceberg. Not just any trip either, but a two month trip across the country in a silver RV documenting their journey.

“Walker was pleasure personified…The whole Rhodes package turned her on. His charm and warmth, his talent and intelligence, his passion and humor-everything about him rocked her world.”

Looking to regain inspiration for his love of photography, Walker Rhodes is excited about this journey across the country. Until he realizes the coworker who is traveling with him. Blue eyed Southern boy, Walker may have the charm to woo most women, but he can’t seem to get ahead when the spitfire, Callie is around. She might be tiny, but she’s like a miniature stick of dynamite waiting to explode. He’s on this trip to regain inspiration for his love of photography again and quickly realizes that she’s his muse.

“He loved a feisty woman, and she was feisty, times three.”

Eventually, the fun begins, inspiration is thriving, and feelings start developing. But, entertaining misfortunes continually keep happening along the way too. Is the passion between them enough to withstand the disasters? And, what happens when two months is over and life carries on as usual?

If you are looking for a novel that is comical and incredibly creative with off the charts character chemistry, then I highly recommend Road-Tripped. It’s by far one of my favorite reads of the entire year! I literally feel like I’ve had the hardest ab workout of my life after reading this book. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more novels by Nicole Archer!

WOW! I loved this book from the very beginning until the very end. I loved the characters, dialogue, and the style it was written. I LOVED that there was a playlist you can ACTUALLY listen to while reading the book. Thats something that I've never seen and I think it made the book that much better!

The writing in the book was superb and the witty banter was flawless! Callie and Walker are probably my favorite couple right now. I loved them both from the very beginning. The supporting characters really help pull this story together. They are so colorful and I need more of them!

I cannot wait for book 2. I need more from Nicole Archer and the characters she made me fall in love with!

I have no words, none! That is how freaking outstanding this masterpiece is! This is going to be a gush review so hold on tight.

Chemistry, so much chemistry from our two MC's, I mean you could feel it radiating out of the pages. I think it rose the temperature of my kindle. Everything was done right, the interactions, the witty banter the steamy connection. Everything, I felt like I was reading a real love story. Nothing felt forced or underdeveloped, these two where made for one another, and I loved every minute of it.

Moving away from my new favourite couple of the year.

The actually writing was spot on, smooth, easy to follow and engaging. From the first few words I actually said out loud, "This is going to be good".... god I love it when I'm right.

The only thing left I have to say is, I highly recommend that you BUT THIS BOOK! READ IT!! It will change the way you read anything going forward.

Happy Reading

A funny contemporary romance

Road-Tripped by Nicole Archer is the first book in the Ad Agency Series. And what a great start to this new series. It was a funny and romantic novel that I could not put down. Be prepared for a crazy roller coaster ride. This is the journey that Callie and Walker must take together. Callie and Walker take a road trip that was assigned to them in an RV from work. And much chaos will ensue on this trip. The two have chemistry but will they let that chemistry go further?

Nicole Archer will have you laughing out loud while you read Road-Tripped. Her writing is funny and very engaging. The characters were well written, believable and had great dialogue. You will be laughing and crying all the way to the last page of the book and will not want it to end. I cannot wait to read more from Nicole Archer.

... In Road Tripped Author Nicole Archer has created an amazing story. In this book we laugh and cry

FIVE STARS
In Road Tripped Author Nicole Archer has created an amazing story. In this book we laugh and cry. I experienced dread and heartbreak right along with Callie and Walker.
Callie is suffering from heartbreak and trying to find a way to get back onto her feet after finding her fiance having sex with her best friend. However after the emotional and verbal abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex, she is truly better off without him. Having left with only the clothes on her back, Callie is working for her friend Skip at his fathers ad agency. The laid back easy going atmosphere at the ad agency is really too much. Callie hates it but she needs this job to be able to make a new life for herself. Callie’s true passion in life is writing.
Walker grew up in Savanah Georgia and HATES his work. He wanted to be a professional photographer but ended up doing ad work to make money so that he could eventually do what he truly loved doing.
Callie and Walker are thrown together to do a 2 month long Ad promo for an RV company. They are to travel coast to coast and doing blogs and ad promotions along the way. Skip needs them to do this job otherwise he will lose the company and all the employees their jobs. Callie owes Skip for helping her out more than once and Walker agrees but says he will quit at the end of this promotion.
What neither Callie or Walker planned on was finding their muses. Each in their own right. Walker finds a passion for photography that he has been searching for and Callie finds that words are just flowing onto the pages now with Walker in her life. After a very rocky start to their trip, they finally start warming up to one another and talking about their lives. By the end of the 8 weeks they have fallen hopelessly in love, yet is it enough to keep them together? What happens after they get back to New York? Will they be able to make things last? Was it all just a whirlwind and only for the moment since they were confined to the RV?
There are many characters in the book that stand out but my above all favorite of the extras is Grandma Josephine. Oh my house she made me laugh.
Five stars all the way.

I laughed so much throughout this book!

Road-Tripped by Nicole Archer was a fun ride into her debut novel! I really liked the story line and the characters developed well throughout the book. It was a fun trip for Callie, Walker and Me! This book was light and definitely had its ups and downs along the way. Can I just say that I absolutely love the name Calliope and I was so excited to see it in a book! Callie and Walker work for an ad agency and they are set to go on the trip of a life time together... only thing is, they can't stand each other. Only time together will tell how they will come out of this trip, will they come out together or separate? This is a good debut novel but there are a few things I didn't like personally along the way so I give it 4 silver stars!

an enjoyable read

I am a big fan of both friends to lovers romances and RomCom's and the blurb for this book really caught me.

Overall this was a great story with some really funny parts that had me laughing out loud. The plot line was good and I really enjoyed most of this book.

I wasn't a massive fan of Callie, I just couldn't connect with her at all. I know she was getting over some personal issues but I just found her a bit cold and detached.

Most of the story is set on an RV and whilst some of the adventures that the characters went on were very entertaining, I did feel that the story could have been condensed a bit and still have had the same effect.

Overall an enjoyable debut novel and I will be keeping an eye out for the authors upcoming work
