Rock's Redemption: Insurgents Motorcycle Club (Insurgents MC Romance)

I love the Insurgents MC Series and couldn't wait to read this one about Rock, their HOT, Sargeant at Arms. I will say that while I really enjoyed it, it wasn't my favorite.

I like how Rock was rekindling a romance with a high school sweetheart and there was definitely some interesting dynamics going on. I was expecting Rock to be a hot alpha (and he was) with a hot, feisty woman. The submissive role wouldn't have been too bad, but it was there and then it wasn't. They had a lot to deal with from their past and there were a few twists and turns that kept me reading. I still love the series and can't wait to read more about them (yes, I'm reading them out of order, and it's truly not a problem)

My favorite MC series!

Clotille was born into a rich family. To the outside world she had everything. But the reality was that she was truly unhappy and the only thing that gave her joy was her blossoming friendship with Rock…until her world was torn apart.
Rock was born into a poor family. His loving mother working hard to provide for her abusive husband and four children. His world is dark but Clotille brings light when he needs it the most, until he goes home one night and everything changes for the worst.
The first chapter captivated me. It made me feel so much emotion and I had fallen in love with the two main characters by the end of that chapter. It was refreshing to have so much raw emotion in a biker book. By the next chapter everything you need in a biker book began to flow and I couldn’t put it down.
Rock is a typical biker and enjoys having many women at his disposal, but he would always have been with Clotille if circumstances had been different. He has always loved her. So many obstacles have been put in their way and I just wanted them to overcome it all.
When I got about 80% in, a few of Clotilles past decision come to light and I was mildly irritated with her choices. Saying that, I still really loved this book and highly recommend it.

This book was a little slow for me at first. The first few chapters are about Rock and Clotille’s past and I just had a hard time getting through those chapters. I am a huge fan of MC series and it may just be that this series started so differently for me that it just took me a while to get into it.
Rock and Clotille first meet when they are very young and bound together over their abusive childhoods and parents. As the years past these two only grow closer and the bond they have for each other develops into love and affection for one another but it takes them till Rock becomes a senior in high school before anything comes of these feelings. Just when these two think they have a chance at something tragedy strikes and Rock is sent to prison.

Years later these two find each other again but their circumstances have drastically changed. Neither is the person they were years ago. Rock is not the Sergeant at Arms for the Insurgents MC and life has hardened him into a man who doesn’t believe in love or relationships. He learned his lesson years ago about opening himself up to love and refuses to let anyone close again. When he sees Clotille again his past comes racing back and old wounds resurface.

Clotille has only ever loved one man, Rock. She never expects to see the man who owns her heart again and he will never know what all she gave up for him. When fate throws these two together again Clotille is at rock bottom and Rock is the only person who can help her. She doesn’t know if she can open her heart to that kind of hurt again and is scared of what will happen if he was to find out her secrets.

Overall this was a good MC romance. I would recommend to anyone who loves a good MC romance novel.
