Knox Masters is unlike any football player I have ever read about!

I am new to Jen Frederick, but after reading Sacked I am definitely a fan. I completely devoured this book and could not get enough. In fact, if I am being honest, I immediately "One-Clicked" the next book in this amazing series, just to read more about these fantastic characters. This book tells a great story, but Jen Frederick developed her characters so well, I didn't want to be finished. Not only did she keep me burning through the pages to find out what would happen next, but she made an even bigger football fan of me!

In this story, Knox Masters is the two-time All American defensive end, captain of the Western State Warriors and set to join the NFL as a top-ten draft pick. He is set on getting the next championship. He runs everything in his life the way he does on the field. Precision, determination and focus. Unlike many of his fellow teammates at Western State, he doesn't let the Jersey Chasers take him off his course. He is determined to wait for the right woman and he is in no hurry to change this, until he meets Ellie Campbell.

Ellie Campbell is the sister of one of Knox's teammates. Even though there is a code about no sisters or ex's in the locker room, Knox knows she is the one for him. Ellie has no desire to date a football player. She has been there, done that and is not willing to risk it again. She knows the effect it could have on her brother and she will stop at almost nothing to protect him. Will she be able to keep Knox at bay?

I adored the characters of this book. They made me laugh, cry and feel every emotion as they experienced them. Jen Frederick is extremely talented and easily made me connect to this storyline. I cannot wait to read more from this series!

Great football book!

Sometimes you get a book where you instantly fall for the writing, the characters, the story, just all of it. Sacked was one of those books. While I like emotional and even dark stories, I love to read a lighthearted story that I can just enjoy and escape in. This is my perfect kind of book. Not overly emotional or insane drama. Just a captivating story with characters you instantly connect to.

Knox was a completely refreshing character. At first I thought maybe him being a virgin would be a little of a cheesy non-believable storyline. But his character, his story and his circumstances were done so well. He was crazy likable and easily buried his was into my heart and Ellie's. Knox was so swoony and perfect.

Binge Read Worthy

I didn't go into this book expecting to love it and binge read it until 3 AM, but that's exactly what happened and it's worth feeling like a zombie for the next 12 hours. I loved how this was written and the character interactions seemed very genuine and realistic. This is the first book I've read by this author and I can safely say I've been missing out.

I liked Ellie and her protective nature. Coming from an unloving home has made her put up walls to keep most people out. I'm happy to say that Knox was the exception (as cheesy as that may sound). She was very protective of Jack (her brother) and almost jeopardized their future at one point. I'm glad everything worked out in the end, though I got the feeling that not everyone was happy about it all.

Knox was amazing. He could be an 'alpha male', but also had a sweet and easy going side to him that made him that much more enticing. I did find the 'experiment' he did (and continued to do throughout the book) a bit childish, but I do understand the reasoning behind it all and that certain situations have happened and in his mind it's better safe than sorry.

Ellie and Knox's story ends on a happily ever after in this novel. I can't help but want to know more about Ty and Ellie's brother Jack. I want more books in this series!
