Wonderful novella in the series!

It’s always great going back to Juniper Ridge and this novella was the perfect trip back.

Joey is visiting his moms after being done with a mission as Navy Seal. There he runs into Jessie. The two have met before, one night a year ago. Joey is surprised to find out that one night has led to birth of his daughter, Joy. The connection the two had that night is still there and they navigate being each other’s lives.

“Show of Honor” brings the classic rom-com magic that Tawna Fenkse is known for. You can’t help but loving Joey and Jessie from the very first pages. And the way he takes to his daughter is so sweet. I love that Jessie worked with the Peace Corps before coming a mother and still works with the underprivileged as much as she can. These two are wonderful together. We get some minor appearances from characters in past books and are set nicely for future books to come.

A wonderful holiday novella!

I really loved the most recent installment in the Juniper Ridge series. We met Jessie and baby Joy in book 3 ... but imagine her surprise when the unknown baby daddy shows up in Juniper Ridge - and just so happens to be the son of the bakery owners.

Navy Seal Joe is home on a three week leave - and when he discovers the beautiful Joy, his heart cracks wide open.

I loved seeing Joe and Jessie learn about each other, and discover how well they work together. And the draw they felt that snowy Christmas a year ago continues to deepen with each passing day.

These two were beyond sweet. I absolutely loved experiencing this couple - these unexpected parents - grow into a real family. This is the perfect holiday novella to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Show of honor is set around the Christmas holiday, a surprise pregnancy book that is a sweet and joyfull read.
A year after a spending a hot night together, Jess and Joe's have another faithful meeting in Juniper Ridge, the place her sister and his mothers call home. Only this time more than chemistry binds them. Joy is their own Christmas miracle, barely three months old, she instantly gains the love of her unsuspecting father.
Jess didn't think she'll ever find the man who fathered her daughter, she's set in being a single mother, so when she Joe turns out to be more than what she hopped for, the only thing making the situation uncertain is his career.
This is a sweet story about finding love in the most unexpected way. Jess was such a relatable character, all her worries and doubts are things probably every mother went through.
I must admit, I would have loved for Joy to have a bigger presence in the story, because I love children in a book.
Joe is a rare type of male character. I tried, but I didn't find him any fault. He loved and respected his parents, served for his country and stepped up to his role as a parent.
This book can easily be read as a standalone, I haven’t read the previous books but now I want to, because I loved the characters I've met.
It's the first book I've read from the author, definitely not the last.

What my heart needed right now!

This is my first Tawna Fenske story and let me tell you it is what my heart needed. In this novella we get to see a couple, Joe and Jessie, become an instant family. Which is sometimes hard to do!
They met at the holidays last year delayed and lonely. And boom one year later there she is with someone extra tagging along. This was absolutely the sweetest story. The characters were real and lovable. I was wondering how she would fit a story this complex into a short story but it is great and everything I needed in my life right now!
I will definitely be picking up the rest of the series I need to know everyone else's stories asap!
