Fun and Easy baking

This book is written by a friend of a friend and I was asked to join a Facebook group of women who would be willing to bake different items in the book and share them and review them. It is such a great way to have fun with friends who love to bake! So far I have tasted more than I have actually baked and so far they have been delicious. Today I baked the Dalmatian Brownie Cake and it is delicious. Quick and easy to make, not too sweet and the size of a small brownie pan so the perfect size. Had all the ingredients in my pantry which was a bonus. My family will enjoy this tonight with a little scoop of ice cream on the side. Give this book a try!

Great recipe book!

This cookbook is fantastic for when you don’t have a huge crowd to feed. It satisfies my family of 2 for a couple days of treats and then on to the next recipe. I like the way it is organized so that I can find what I’m looking for very easily, be it fruity treats or chocolaty treats or breakfast treats. I have tried about 5 recipes so far and am looking forward to making my way through the rest of the book! I hope you enjoy it like I have!

Great Little Cake Book

For the price, I figured if I only liked a couple of recipes it was worth it. Boy was I shocked to discover that my expectations were exceeded. I’ve made the Honey Bun cake multiple times, the Chocolate Mayonnaise is my new go-to and the Pecan Praline Cake will most definitely reappear. These smaller sized cakes are perfect for our bible study group…and go extremely well with coffee. Pleasantly surprised!

Sweet tooth beware

This book is everything. It’s originality caught me and the author is adorable. I love that there is an entire section for dietary restrictions (my daughter can’t have gluten). Thank you!

Perfect mother daughter baking book!

My daughter and I have enjoyed baking from this book. She looks through and marks the "recipe of the week" them we try it out. She has enjoyed all of it the detailed lists of things needed so she knows exactly what to get out before we start. Love it!!

Cake for breakfast? Yes please!

Truth be told, cakes have not always been my favorite thing to bake…so you can imagine my surprise now that I find myself reaching for this book to decide which cake to bake next. This book is a gamechanger. For me, most cakes are just too sugar-y sweet with simple flavor profiles, and yield so much cake that it just goes stale faster than it can be enjoyed. The recipes in this book solve these issues for me...and then some.

My 16 year-old daughter (who loves to bake everything from scratch) and I received an advance review copy of this book over the holidays. The first thing I noticed when flipping through the recipes was that many of the ingredients are already in my pantry, and the cake pans are smaller—which I now realize is right-sized—so that my family can actually finish them before they go stale. We've made three recipes so far...I chose to make the Cafe au Lait Breakfast Cake for holiday break mornings and she baked the Cranberry-Ginger cake...both delicious and not overly sugary-sweet, and layers of flavor! Tonight we made our third cake, the Southern Chocolate Mayo cake. For all three recipes, in under 45 minutes, we have a finished cake cooling on the counter. I'm happy to report that with Aimee's book, I am a small-batch snack-cake convert. I can't wait to gift a few copies, paired with a freshly baked cake!

Exactly as I expected

I took a look at this book with Kindle Unlimited before buying it. The recipes I have tried are yummy. There are gluten free recipes in the back. I also tried a regular recipe, substituting 1:1 gluten free flour. I like that the cakes are small. It's perfect for our family of 3. Some recipes are run of the mill but most are unique. Really, it's a fun cookbook.
