Not actually up-to-date

I had thought this would be updated with Obama in it, but it's not, unfortunately. Authors, we need a new version now!

Disappointing

I was really excited about giving this book to my kids I bought it after just skimming it, not reading it in its entirety. When I finally sat down to read it, I was incredibly disappointed after just a few pages. It mentions that one of the Presidents was 300 lbs. and needed a special bath tub built in the White House, which is fine, since it is factual. What I found completely inappropriate was the drawing of an obese President being mechanically lifted into the tub with a chicken wing in his hand! Fat shaming isn't something I want my kids to learn. I was hoping this would be a book full of fun facts about the Presidents, but I didn't find anything fun, or funny, about it.

Great Read for Kids

My kids loved this book and they range in grades 1st, 3rd and 5th. All three of them found this book funny while also teaching them fun facts about our Presidents. It's a great addition to our home library.

Uses phrases that are over kids heads

Honestly this book uses vocabulary and lingo that is over the heads of my 2nd and 4th graders. The pictures are great but the vocabulary and phrases they use are just too advanced for most children.

not need to eat vegetables and not take out the garbage. What are we teaching our kids

If this book is suppose to instruct a kid about being a president, I found it embarrassing that this books mentions that a "good thing" about being a president is to live in the White House, not need to eat vegetables and not take out the garbage. What are we teaching our kids? I thought that the reason to become a president was to serve your country and to help the citizens that live in it. I hope that people are smart enough not to buy this book, and I expect that it is ban from the schools.

Not for advance readers

My fault. I wanted a read for a 6 grader. I did not get that on this book.
