Spelling It Like It Is. . . .
Life is never boring at Tori’s house, but since the release of her New York Times bestselling memoirs
sTORI Telling
,
Mommywood
, and
Uncharted terriTORI
, things have been especially unpredictable: finding out she was pregnant with her third baby after nearly vomiting live on the Home Shopping Network; trying to hide her fourth pregnancy so soon after giving birth (as her stylist said, “Who would be that crazy?”); being rescued from a paparazzo by a mom lynch mob; stalking her celebrity neighbor; and allowing cameras to film every personal detail of her life—from the most challenging time in her marriage to the only time in six years when she really felt as though those cameras invaded her privacy. Tori shares these stories and many more with the usual humor, candor, and down-to-earth charm that her fans love. She also writes openly about her biggest challenges: the terrifying health problems surrounding her high-risk pregnancy with her youngest son, Finn; her guilt over missing baby Hattie’s early months because she was in the hospital on bed rest; her struggles (and failures) to live within her means after growing up in opulence; the discovery that she has a lot in common with her late mega-producer father, Aaron Spelling; and how she fell in love with Dean all over again (hint: it didn’t happen at their vow renewal ceremony). After years of revealing her everyday antics on-screen, Tori’s life is still full of surprises. Slowing down long enough to enjoy them? Now that’s another sTORI.

AWESOME read!
This is a really good read. As always Tori is raw and refreshing. I appreciate her honesty and her candidness. I have read all of her books with the exception of her party book and children's book. I always like reading about her and her family. There was talk prior to this books release of her throwing people under the bus. A lot of people took issue with this but seriously that takes up less than 2 paragraphs (if that) of the entire book. She reveals exactly how serious her last pregnancy was. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Tori's and her family!

Stupid. I lost brain cells.
The book is well written but very annoying because she is a free spirit and her family is so far from grounded and she is way to impulsive and then lives and puts her kids in dangerous situations just cause of pride. She keeps sqeezing the last of her 15 minutes and quite frankly it's annoying. Waste of $$.

Great Read
I am always so excited when Tori has a book coming out. Reading her books is like talking with a good friend. Her stories are hilarious and I love how she is so honest about the peaks, pits and stuff going on in her life. She is totally relatable as a mom and celebrity. I would recommend this book, it was a fun read and am hoping that Tori, Dean and their family can come back to TV soon, they are missed :-)

Worst Tori Spelling book yet
It seems like she has tried hard not to be a spoiled brat every since she married Dean. This book just proves that she is. I have read all of her books and enjoyed all of them, until this one. It seems like all she does is whine about her current situation, but she sales houses at huge losses on a whim, when most people stick it out until they can afford to move. Made me see Tori in such a worse light. Very Disappointed.

Not the same.
I loved her first few books because she seemed real, genuine. In this book I didn't get that vibe. Dragging your family from house to house just because you feel like it. Then whine because money is tight. Besides that I love how she puts the blame on Dean for baby #4. He can't do math. Then the always famous. But we only had sex once. I want to think she's somewhat normal but each book more of her real side comes out. I would have thought she would have written a book explaining how she "fixed" her relationship with her mom. Since it was a major part of book 1.

Some Parts I Loved, Some Parts I HATED - A Very Mixed Bag!
I've been a closet Tori-Spelling fan for the past few years, buying all of her books in audio form and listening to Tori tell me about her life. Her first book, Stori-Telling was great, gave me all the juicy 90210 gossip and insight into her divorce and remarriage to Dean McDermott. But, her following books, Mommywood and Uncharted Terratori didn't pack the same punch - probably because she was saving the best material for her reality show, not wanted to give away too much in print. However, now that her reality show is over, Spelling It Like It IS offers Tori the chance to finally get to give her own insight into what's happened since her show was cancelled - and it's truly been drama-filled ! I was amazed at the medical issues Tori has faced and the trauma of her fourth pregnancy. She doesn't candycoat anything this time, and speaks about the problems she's faced in her relationship with Dean, the setbacks she's had with her health and career, and even says the f-word a few times (which is kind of awesome - I mean, Donna Martin never said the f-word!). I'm really glad I bought this book and recommend it to anyone who's been interested in learning more about Tori's life.
That said, this book is NOT perfect. There are still many aspects of the story that completely frustrated me, no matter how true they are (or rather, BECAUSE they're true!). I found Tori's lack of real estate savvy to be sad, her marriage with Dean kind of weird (which in light of recent events makes perfect sense), and her need to equate herself with A-List level stars downright pathetic. Even after four years and countless medical issues, Tori is still not really comfortable being Tori. There were a few questions that just nagged the hell out of me:
1. If you have FOUR kids - two under the age of two - how do you find the time to surf the internet from 10 AM to 6 PM?
2. Maybe you'd have more money if you hired fewer Nannies. (Sidenote: On her current show, True Tori - where Tori and Dean are documenting the fallout from his "cheating" [I say this in quotes because there is a lot of speculation that this whole thing has been a media stunt, with the joke on us] we see Tori struggling to take care of her four kids alone, but WTF? Where are all the nannies she mentioned in this book? MIA? Just sayin...!)
3. If you're horrendously in debt, STOP MOVING! And stop buying animals! Why are you doing this to yourself?
4. Why would ANYONE share their poops with their husband and children? Ew!
5. Why, oh why, would you drink Katie Holmes' backwash? Why not just speak up?!?
Can't wait to read the next book though - I'm hoping she tells the truth about the Dean Affair, but more than likely she's saving it for the small screen.

Spelling it like it is
I don't know why I decided to buy this book but I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed it. Her writing is so easy you feel like she is talking to you and she made me laugh out loud. I can't believe her dad left her so little when he had so much. But she doesn't just sit and cry about it she works hard. I just bought 2 more of her books and can't wait to start them.

Fast & somewhat fun read, but a bit of a departure from her regular tone.
Another fast and indulgent behind-the-scenes look at my favorite reality star. This book took on a slightly more 'woe is me' tone from her previous works. She focuses on her health & money problems as well as some less-than-stellar star encounters. Maybe a bit more dark & negative than what I've come to expect from Tori, but still an enjoyable read. Hopefully she has another funny and light-hearted one in the works!
