From the Back Cover SLAM! SCREEEEECH! CRASH!What’s that racket? A cage door closing, a car getting away, and an elephant smashing to pieces! What are the Dead Sea Squirrels up to now? When Michael’s story (and his elephant) starts to fall apart, he learns that honesty is the best policy, but not before one of his rodent friends is snatched! It’s a riotous adventure of soccer balls and kidnappers, truth and lies, kids and squirrels.

First Chapter books!

I LOVE these books. The stories are super cute and these were the first chapter books I was able to get my elementary-age kids to read! I love that I don't have to worry about the content because I am familiar with the authors. My kids are going into 3rd-grade language arts and are still a bit put-off by chapter books, so these were a huge win for me.
