If you were a young girl in the 1970s who grew up looking up to Princess Leia as a role model, as I did, I highly recommend this book. It is filled with many quotes from Leia, and some from other characters too, which will inspire you throughout everyday life. There are subtle in-jokes in the text which true fans will enjoy finding. Highly recommended.

Each spread has a color photo of a Star Wars character (with Princess Leia featured the most) with a quote from that character that goes well with and ties into the positive subject at hand.

This cute little book is the perfect novelty gift for StarWars fans and would make a great addition to any empowered young girl's personal library.

Awesome book and it doesn't even seem like it's from a second hand book store! Came quick and packed great

I got this as a gift. I fully expected the blurbs that went with the quotes to be at least mostly focused on one's personal life, as in "how to succeed at life" like the description says. But instead the majority were about work life, such as colleagues, meetings, budgets, social media campaigns, emails. And of those, almost all related to a managerial role. It would be perfect for a Star Wars fan who is a manager, but not as a general cute inspirational thing.

The photos and quotes are of course enjoyable. And the movie references in the advice paragraphs were cute. But I wish it wasn't so business and manager focused, which narrows the audience considerably. For example, you have a daughter who's in school who loves Leia and you give her this. The advice doesn't apply to her. I'm not a manager and don't think much about my work life when I'm not working, which is how I like it. So it didn't fit me too well either.

This brilliantly written and illustrated book keeps some of the best life quotes near to us, always. It's a quick read and you could read it every day as an affirmation. Love it to add to my home library.
