Super Simple Math (DK Super Simple)

Do not buy the Kindle version. It is not an e-book, but rather a set of images. They basically scanned the book and made one big image file. Unfortunately, not only did they fail to format it correctly (the text is squished and can't be changed because it's just an image), but you also cannot do other things that you would normally be able to do with typical Kindle e-books: no text search, no highlighting, no changing the font or borders. It's really a pathetic attempt to turn a book into an e-book. I am sure the publisher has the digital text file (with images), they could have done this correctly. I have not even looked at the content, because it is all squished (at least on an ipad).

I’m a little worried my kids are outpacing me. In anticipation of that day when they have math homework beyond my feeble brain’s abilities, I got this book, and a cheap scientific calculator. Come to find I actually really enjoy it, and concepts that I once though impossible to understand make a lot more sense when your teacher isn’t threatening you with an F. I’ve got the Bio book too, and it is fascinating. Definitely recommend.

I bought a few 4th grade math textbooks from Houghton and a few other major publishers hoping they might help me help my son with his math this year, and this book by my new favorite publisher DK Smithsonian was by far the best. (It also happens to be the only one I looked at that was not a school textbook.) Highly recommended for K-5 parents and contains every core standard math topic.

this is a great book if you have kids in school and you need to brush up on all levels of math. it would be a very good introduction to many different mathematics subjects for someone trying to learn and or an adult who never had geometry Trigonometry or algebra and others like statistics and compound interest... if you are on the fence looking for something to get you back in the math game or to take you above basic math this is a great option.

I am very impressed with this math resource book. It covers every math concept needed for homeschooling kids through high school. It is definitely a resource book for someone assisting a self-learning student or to use when teaching a homeschooler. It’s also great for a parent to have on hand when your child asks for math help from school. It is not a textbook. It does not give an overly in-depth explanation to each concept but a general idea and examples. This is a great resource for every parent to have on hand!
