Texas Two Step

One of my favorite books..be sure to read the pre-quil first...I have become a Cynthia D'Alba fan thru this series of books..

Six years after Mitch Landry broke off his very serious relationship with Olivia Montgomery with him using the excuse that she was very young and needed to date other people, the two are forced back into each other's company for their best friends' wedding. Much has happened in this time, both have been married and both divorced and now there's a child and a secret involved that can make or break their lives.

When the pretty blonde, Olivia, shows up at the airport to pick her ex- Mitch up at the airport she thought she might have put her feelings for the hot rancher aside. BIG MISTAKE. One look from Mitch and Olivia knows she going to be in big trouble, only thing, she has a super huge secret that she must keep from Mitch. Even though he says nothing to Olivia, Mitch is still in love with the feisty lady and when he arrives, it with hopes that they may rekindle what he basically threw aside.

Other factors may be strikes against this relationship though, such as a paleontologist ex- husband, a snot-nosed ex-wife and a cute as a button five year old. I will say no more, you just have to trust me on this and pick up Texas Two Step by Cynthia D'Alba and Texas Two Step: Prequel that gives the back-story to book one. What can I say? I picked this book up at 11pm last night as closed it on the last page at almost 3am this morning. I truly enjoyed this and I am eager to read any follow-ups to this series. Cynthia D'Alba is a great writer that keeps the reader's attention with her wit and her story. I highly recommend her reads!

Texas Two Step is the first book in the Montgomery Mavericks series by Cynthia D'Alba. She does a nice of slow introducing the Montgomery's of Texas to you. It is a story of surviving bad decisions that you thought were good at the time and getting second chances and being stubborn enough to get trying. It is the story of Mitch Landry and Olivia Montgomery. They have a lot to over come and to accept . It is an adventure that keeps you interested.

Great story with Mitch and Melody. They went through a lot to get together and it was a fun, sexy ride. Now if I can only get Cynthis D'Alba to put the other three stories in paper back.

I loved this story, to me the characters were true to life and so was their story. Olivia and Mitch meet after not seeing each other after six years at her best friends wedding and the feelings are still there. She has a secret and when Mitch finds out he is both hurt and determined to make the relationship work this time. I loved the book from beginning to end and this is one series that you will have to read from this one until the series ends.

I loved getting to know the Montgomery and Landry familes in this book.
This is the story of Mitch and Olivia. They were in love once, but circumstances led to a break-up. They are re-united at a Dallas wedding 6 years later. Olivia was devastated when Mitch had broken things off with her. Mitch had lost his brother, James, and then his brother's girlfriend, Joanna, was saying she was pregnant with his brother's child. Mitch wanted to ease his grief and make sure Jame's baby carried on the Landry name. So Mitch broke things off with Olivia, and married Joanna. Things happen to their marriage that end it after awhile; and Olivia carrying a secret of her own, ended up marrying Drake to get through it.
At the wedding, Olivia thinks maybe a kiss will get Mitch out of her system; it doesn't. She thinks maybe a quick roll in the hay will get him worked out of her system, and then she can go on with her life; it doesn't. The secret Olivia has carried for the past 6 years comes to light, and her world with Mitch will never be the same.
Mitch confesses that he never stopped loving Olivia. She realizes that she never shared the passion that she has for Mitch with anyone, especially her ex-husband. When the secret comes out, she is not sure if she can trust him with it. She also realizes that the trust Mitch has in her could be broken beyond repair.
