Too much useless content!

I really live this series, but this book has sooooo much useless content. The author says he wants to add stuff that wasnt in the wn but i just spent an hour reading one of the ‘plans’ rimuru comes up with and then he scraps it completely. Whats the point in even putting that in the book. I mean the first half is just them talking about the same plan over and over they go over it like 4 times. And its not a small plan its a long explanation. The last book was the best. Also i hate how forgiving he is. They KILLED his people youd think hed be more angry about this no one in the world is that understanding. Its unrealistic.

Still good and entertaining at vol. 6

At this point in the web novel the story tends to droop. The light novel made some changes that improved the story a bit. At least it did for me. Rimuru continues to be Gary Stu character but that is kind of the point for this kind of story. Besides most of the story deals with how Rimuru and his friends deal with the fallout from the events of vol. 5. I like that these problems can't be solved by blasting everything in sight. I also like that his allies see the decisions he made in Vol. 5 in a more realistic light. He has them going, YOU did THAT, YOU are a WHAT now and YOU unleashed WHO! It does feel like a lot of problems get solved too easily but that is kind of the point of the story. I don't care about that myself and in fact I read the whole thing in 1 day.

Honestly this book was mostly just boring...

65% of this book was just sitting around talking about what they were going to do. I was bored out of my mind and honestly it just seemed like lazy writing. Fuze's attempt at political conversation and planning is dry and lack luster as there isn't actually anything creative or sincerely clever in the attempt. The author should stick to action and character growth not political intrigue as it was a detriment to a heretofore enjoyable series.

When you can’t get enough of Rimuru

I’ve been a recent convert to the anime, and late comer to the web novel, manga and finally made it to the light novel of the slime series...and I’m super glad I found the light novel!

The storyline is generally the same as the manga, and at this point goes a little past the anime for season 2.1 (first half of season 2). I found the story was compelling enough in anime form that I had to start reading the manga and novel series, but of all the media I’d recommend the light novel version because of the details included.

The writing is much better than the web novel, and fills in more details than the manga (slight differences): for true fans of Rimuru Tempest, the light novel is the way to go.

This volume covers the conversion of Rimuru into a full on demon lord, and settling matters with Clayman - only to learn the plot thickens at Walpurgis. Excellent volume, this series is pretty addictive for good reason!

Kindle version Grammer is iffy at times

Be warned the kindle version has a decent amount of typos, and other grammer issues. I am not the most critical over grammer, but it can be quite bad at times. There are a few names they have translated diffrently then the manga and the anime so it can be odd to follow at times. Its not horrible but is sub standard when its something your paying for. If this was a fan translation It would not bug me at all. If you can look past the odd grammer and names at times its still a good read.

Now that's the length I've wanted!

Let's all cheer for the super long light novel! \0/
I love all the new content in this volume! But, honestly, I can't wait for the next volume! I highly recommend this series. It's funny and lighthearted at times, but serious and heartbreaking at others.
