  • of
  • The Declaration of Independence
  • came to Douglas MacKinnon, fittingly enough, on
  • the 4th of July
  • . While doing research for a column meant to remind the American people of that date’s critical importance, he came across example after example of those from the Left and the Far-Left––be they in the mainstream media, activists, or anarchists––calling for not only the “canceling” of the 4th of July, but the continued smearing, censorship, and canceling of our

And yet, more and more followers of the Left want to do just that. As they control the media, academia, entertainment, science, and medicine…who is to stop them? Time is of the essence. We must find our voices.

The "56" Could Have Also Been Titled: "Liberty Lessons Made Easy & Exciting!"

The "56" Could Have Also Been Titled: "Liberty Lessons Made Easy & Exciting!" because each of its brief & information-packed chapters provides a personalized and detailed summary of all of the 56 signers as well as other key & influential people that shaped our country's marvelous & exceptional founding!

Also the author ordered the chapters in a unique way by presenting the most influential individuals first, in his opinion.

This book is also extremely important & timely considering the many aggressive and sinister attempts today by leftist and fascist-socialists to undermine and destroy our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Successful Economy and our Freedom & Liberty!

This book not only presents our founding history effectively, but it also contrasts our noble founding with the evil forces being daily imposed on the USA now!

Be sure to Read it and have your children Read It!

Proud American History No Longer Taught in our Schools

THE 56 not only draws the Liberty-robbing parallels between 1776 and today, but reveals the blueprint left by our Founding Fathers to save ourselves. Don't let the Left cancel our shared American history. THE 56 were courageous Patriots who envisioned and created the greatest nation on Earth.

A timely tribute to the 56 courageous signers of the Declaration of Independence.

A compelling read — the stories you never knew of the Signers and the risks they took defying the Crown in their quest for Freedom and Liberty.

Disappointing

I would have liked more history and less of MacKinnon's opinions and tangents. For example, the chapter on Ben Franklin is 15 pages. 4 pages are about the movie Back to School. 2pages are about astronaut Michael Collins. And various other opinion paragraphs, leaving very little time actually telling about Franklin.

Bait and switch

If I had wanted an opinion piece, this would be the book … opinion generously laced with interesting historical facts. Unfortunately I wanted a historical perspective. I was left wanting. I heartily agree that history must be taught as it happened and not refurbished to support a narrative, and hoped that this book would be rich with facts. I was disappointed.

Author unable to check his feelings

Reading this book was like watching a movie with repeated commercials...Author complains thru out the book about the "Left" and failed to see anything wrong about the "Right"...If I wanted to read about his grievances I would watch fox news instead of trying to read the book....It was annoying, reading about those who signed without the constant grievances....

At one point in time, brilliant men all came to the same conclusion, that no king or queen owns us.

Excellent concise biography of each man that risked his life and all he owned to establish a new world order. Free people have the god given right to establish their own government who’s priorities are the will of the people. Distributed editions to our children and grandchildren.
