Features & Highlights

  • Welcome to Rabbit Creek.... City girl Elizabeth Reynolds hopes to find peace and contentment in the small Appalachian town of Rabbit Creek. Okay, so the bucolic cottage she’s rented turns out to be a dilapidated cabin without phone service, but the people she meets are wonderful. Friendly and down to earth, they welcome her with open arms. It’s just like moving to Mayberry… if Andy and Aunt Bea were wolves. Only an outsider would call them werewolves. They’re wolvers, a community of man/beasts that have lived in these hills since their ancestors emigrated from Scotland three hundred years ago. And that gorgeous Chief of Police, Marshall Goodman, the guy she met while covered in mud and wearing granny underpants? The one who sends her heart spinning? He’s their Alpha and his pack is under attack from outside forces. Elizabeth, being a sane and reasonable woman, wants no part of any of this, but if she refuses to risk her life and her heart, the people she’s grown to care about will lose everything and she'll lose the one man she was born to love.

My kind of alpha

Elizabeth Reynolds is a librarian who has decided that she needs to get a life. She's tired of her mother setting up her with her rich friends sons. She quit her job and is going to write a book. She rents a home out in the country and when she's almost there, she has a wreck. This very large dog is in the middle of the road, it's been raining, it's dark and she's already thinking that it's Alfred Hitchcock type of weather. Spooky. She swerves to miss the dog, runs off the road, down a ditch and into a tree. Since she gets covered in mud trying to get out of the car and there's no traffic she decides to change into comfortable clothes so that she could sleep in the car. When a good looking stranger walks up behind her. He ends up being Marshall Goodman, who just happens to be the Chief of Police in the small town of Rabbit Creek. She falls into lust with him and then with his brother, Charles, after she meets him. What is going on with the girl? Besides two hot looking men being in her lift. Then add in the excitement of all the strange dogs who resembles wolves. There's all the action and romance that you can ask for in a book. You have got to read it so you can find out what happens and which hot guy that she picks. If you love books involving alpha hot guys and wolves, then this book is for you.

This was a great paranormal romance!

I only gave 4 stars as it was a bit unbelievable and predictable at times, however, overall a good read. Definitely worth reading and looking forward to reading the next book! It is well written with well developed characters. A bit more romance than I personally prefer but overall a great read. (I admit I had a hard time putting it down). I'm now off to read volume 2!
