The Barefoot Billionaires: A Barefoot Bay Collection

The Barefoot Billionaires collections. Three longer novellas from the Barefoot Bar series. They get better with each story. Touching, fun romance with the wealthy Niners. (playboys playing baseball for fun.) I loved these stories and am looking forward to reading more.

1) Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St Claire

Mandy Mitchell was the high school Homecoming Queen. But an unfortunate choice of a former husband has drastically changed her income level and she is now barely hanging on as a maid at Barefoot Bay. With a supervisor out to make trouble, Mandy soon finds herself in a compromising situation with Zeke Nicholas. Zeke had a crush on Mandy back in high school and he's not about to let her slip away this time around. Mandy has been emotionally burned and Zeke will have to move carefully to gain her trust.

A lovely emotionally touching romance with a little zip and humor thrown into this novella. It's fun to re-visit Barefoot Bay and visit with old friends while living a new romance. Mandy and Zeke are instantly attracted when they re-meet and it's exciting to follow their pretend courtship while it becomes real and meaningful to them both. And oh, we need to wish that Tori gets what she deserves at some point. And what of the rest of that Billionaire softball team? I want to know which ladies will take out the next player from the team.

2) Seduction on the Sand by Roxanne St Claire

Elliott Becker jumped out of his helicopter and addressed the crowd asking for Frank Cardinale. But Miss Frankie wants nothing to do with him. He is in desperate pursuit of her plot of land on Barefoot Bay. She only wants to run the goat farm and sell the milk and soap she'll make. Who will win?

This is an enjoyable novella of the Barefoot series. It was humorous reading Elliott's interactions with the goats. The soap scent names were brilliant. Makes me want to try to find them.

3) Scandal on the Sand by Roxanne St Claire

Gorgeous and sexy. The read, the romance and the love. Absolutely loved Nate's story in this third of three novellas in Barefoot Bay by Roxanne St Claire. This one especially had the feel of a full length complete story without being rushed. N.A.T.E. I shed a couple of happy tears. And yes, will read this one again which is extremely rare for me. A feel good "awww".

Naughty Nate Ivory is trying to hard to overcome his "naughty" title as dubbed by the media. He's intent on business and sure he's on the right track. But the past has a way of catching up.
Liza Lemanky just wants Nate's signature on a legal document, not an autograph or a date with the famous playboy. Complications arise when a photo catches Nate's attention and he can no longer walk away from fate.

I finally read this book and it was a can't put it down kind of book. Just loved it. I hope there will be a continuation of these stories.

I have all of Roxanne St Claire books in paper and was glad to see the billionaires come
out in paper. I love her writing and can't for her new books

Very enjoyable read -- the kind of book that just makes you feel good when you read it

The “Barefoot Billionaires” is a boxed set of 3 books by Roxanne St. Claire and what a wonderful deal! Each novella felt like a full length novel with excellent & unique characters (even if all the men were mere billionaires), conflict, and satisfying resolutions.
1) Secrets on the Sand – the story of Zeke and Mandy was my absolute favorite and I could not put it down. There’s something about high school opposites meeting again and a Cinderella story in Mandy that caught my attention and would not let go.

Mandy was Miss Popular back in high school with her entire future ahead of her until she married Prince Wrong. He took all their money and fled the country, leaving Mandy broke and working as a maid cleaning toilets.

Enter Zeke the Geek. Back in high school he was King Nerd who eventually made it big. And staying at the very resort Mandy is working at while being bothered by his matchmaking mother.

In the end, Zeke, and the other baseball team members, decide to set up a minor league baseball team on the island. For this dream to take place, they need a plot of land owned by Frankie’s grandfather (Enter story #2).

2) Seduction on the Sand – is the story about Elliott and Frankie. Elliott enters the scene with a mission: buy the property they need to build their baseball team. There’s only one problem, Frankie, promised her grandfather she would keep the land in the family. In order to wear her down (or win her over), Elliott decides to stay on Frankie’s land and help her with her new business: goat milk and soaps.

I had to admit that this story seemed a little unbelievable (a Billionaire living/working on a goat farm?) and there were some coincidences that wrapped up the ending a little too well. I was also unsatisfied that the lawyer didn’t suffer any legal repercussions for defrauding an old man. I know…I know…but this is a story and I want the bad guy to get punished.

3) Scandal on the Sand – is the story of Nate and Liza. Liza is a hardworking county clerk. Between helping her friend, Frankie, clear up her family’s property disputes, she also takes care of a four-year old boy…who could be Nate’s son (da-da-dum). Liza and Nate investigate the little boy’s mom and the past she ran away from. By solving that mystery they hope to start a new chapter as a family.

Nate, is our modern day equivalent of a Regency rogue – who had to out-drink, out-party, and out-womanize to prove his masculinity, but Nate wants to change. He’s made mistakes in his past (what Regency rogue didn’t), but like a ‘real’ man, Nate stands up to his mistakes and wants to do the right thing. It took me a while to like this guy, especially with rumors of a sex tape swirling around. But in the end, his love for Liza and his son (this ‘mistake’ with another woman), redeemed this hero in my heart.
