Better than most

I have read several books on food combining, including the original one. This guide is much simpler and easier to follow for most of the program. But, it is not a diet if you are only looking to lose weight. It is a way of eating that enables your body to process food efficiently and more effectively absorb the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. Once you are on this program, you will find that it is easy to follow and your general outlook and appearance will also improve as it clears toxins out of your system faster. I would caution you to drink a lot of water at first to help your body adapt to this new way of eating and thinking. There are still some sticking points in this program but it is up to you to make your individual adjustments.

I have had great success with food combining over the years

I have had great success with food combining over the years, but some systems are complicated. I came across this book when I was overweight and had some health problems and it worked for me. I like Kathryn's realistic approach to this style of eating. She makes it simple enough to make it a lifestyle. I didn't keep it up though and now I'm getting my book off the shelf and am excited to enjoy the benefits of food combining again.

Too Complicated and Restrictive

It is not feasible to seperate protein and starch in foods. All foods were created having some protein and starch in them...for instance millet is a grain which has both protein and starch...an excellent breakfast food.
