Excellent with color instructional pictures on most pages

I bought several golf books to improve my game. This was the best. It has color pictures of male and female golfers demonstrating how to assess and improve your game along with great practice drills. I also bought "The Practice Manual" by Adam Young that had a lot of psychological verbiage and very few instructional photos or sketches. I don't recommend "The Practice Manual." I also bought "Practical Golf" by John Jacobs with Ken Bowden which was just OK and had sketches of a man from 1960s. Buy "The Complete Golf Manual" by Steve Newell and skip the others.

most complete I've seen

I've skimmed throught the book and from what I saw this has the most complete instruction for most golf situations that a golfer is likely to encounter. If I had things to do over again, I would have sacrificed some of my other activities to get live golf instruction when I was young. But for those that are somehow uncomfortable with golf pros, I think this is the best option.
