More intuitive, less practical

I love the look, feel, and content of this book but it doesn’t go very deep. A lot of time is spent on meditating on soil, plants, crystals, etc. where I feel the space could have been better devoted to recipes or something more practical.

Wonderful guide book

I got this mainly cause the cover art. Its very beautiful and has a nice burlap texture. The book is also a wonderful read. Its very nondirected to any culture religion or tradition. Rather just a way to incorporate the power of plants in your daily routine. Its a great guide for fun things like making your own broom, incense, perfumes and medicines. It also has great practical spells and rituals they are very “down to earth”. (literally!)

Not at ALL what the cover says it is.

Over 100 pages in, and I’ve still read nothing about using herbs, flowers, or essential oils. Lots of “focus your energy” prayers and mantras. Phases of the moon. Using stones. All fluff. NOT the practical guide I was hoping for. Skip it. Very upset I wasted my money, when I could have just watched Phoebe on Friends to learn this crap.

I enjoy reading this so far

I enjoy reading this so far( got two, to give my mom one on mother’s day) It’s a beautiful book with lots of knowledge for the first time nature lover, earth conscious person, green witch or natural remedy healer, as well as the longtime experienced person. A book w/o religious presence, which I don’t mind if it did have it , but with so many diff types and views it’s nice that,,just the green witch ways are applied and talked about in a humanitarian, earth loving way. 👌🤓🌞🌵🌿🌺☮️
Def recommend for a great read as well as a beautiful good priced HARD BACK book to sit around, w the cover being so lovely. Enjoy!

A superbly enjoyable read! Very well written!

This was a very enjoyable book! The author did an excellent job of describing each recipe and going into detail about all the different energies, as well as offering many different ways to accomplish your goals even if you live in a high rise apartment in the city. I also enjoyed the fact that she stressed safety and respect, something some other books of the same I have read simply do not do.

It is easy to ready, well thought out, and it has me excited to try everything from making my own broom to making infused sugar and herbal bread! Whether you pursue the path of the green witch or simply enjoy growing herbs and making your own vinegar, this book should be a definite addition to your library!

Bogus Info

This book is not made for someone wishing to increase their knowledge on Green Witchcraft. For me it felt like I was reading something made for a pre-teen. Most of the rituals in here are ridiculous and sound like they were all made up on the spot to make this book thicker. It drags on about random things that anyone with common sense would already know and says it’s green witchcraft if you believe hard enough.

Regardless of religion, this is an invaluable source of natural lifestyle information

Being raised a Christian, I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this book. It goes without saying that witchcraft and magic are highly frowned upon in Christianity (heck, I wasn’t even allowed to read or watch Harry Potter growing up!). However, this book defines witchcraft as: “the practice of working with natural energies to attain goals, without a specific religious context” and it also goes on to state: “A green witch can participate in any religion and honor the divine in her own way provided that she still on honors nature and sacred and blessed” I could quote this book all day lol. But anyway, I’m so glad that I purchased this and didn’t give in to my reservations. This book doesn’t classify magic as an illusion, but simply as a natural energy to better grasp the world around you. It breaks down how you can tap into the power of flowers, fruits, vegetables, stones, and more. There’s even little recipes and crafts in there as well! If you’re thinking about not getting this book because of religion, don’t let that dissuade you. There’s a wealth of knowledge in here that I’m glad I didn’t pass up. I look forward to continuing to reading and getting more in tune with myself and the world around me. Oh! Plus I just love the vintage feel of the book cover. Peace and blessings.
