A Great Read

I found this book hard to put down and in my opinion exactly how it will be when the the power stops The characters are full bodied and you soon have full respect for Blaine and his family. Little John is just what I would expect from a person who likes to torture as well as kill. Reject is exactly that a reject. I am so excited to be able to comment on David Nelson's books.. I find him very intelligent and this book was also very helpful in understanding how to prepare. A great read and can't wait for the next volume.

the beginning of an adventure in survival

its a great story. the characters are very likeable the action starts right from the beginning . its a great introduction to what i am hopeing is a long term series. i made the mistake of only buying the first book and now i got to wait for the rest to show up. i read a lot of books of this genre and i definitely put this one on par with the top of the list. given the subject matter of the story line Mr Nelson did a great job of keeping it clean and safe for younger readers to enjoy.
