The Raven: Includes Sound!

While I didn't expect the figure of the raven to be larger than a real robin, I did think it would be bigger than a hummingbird! The book itself is about 2 1/2 inches by 3 inches with only two illustrations. It's forty some pages long only because the pages are too small to fit many words. When a button on the base of the "ravenette" is pushed, one hears a bell toll three times and a voice whispers, "Nevermore." I had bought it to motivate my students. I'll now include a marketing lesson.

Any fan of Edger Allen Poe will be fasinated by this. It is delightful. It is wonderful to be able to find things you are looking for and not have to pay shipping.

The kit is tiny, but this information is clearly exhibited on the detail page. Included is a raven figurine, a tiny book, and a case. The raven rocks back and forth if you play with it, the book contains the poem, and the case includes a button which when pressed reveals frightening bells with a terrifying, "nevermore" uttered in a gravelly voice.

The box is constructed well with interesting art work. The sound isn't great but more than adequate given the price. The book is well-made for its size. This is a fun little macabre kit for Poe lovers, raven lovers, or fans of The Raven.

I would like to get this item for a gift, but I can not get the sound to work. I have already tried a replacement item as well. Please contact me to let me know if I am doing something wrong so I can change my review to a positive one. Thanks,

This was given to an avid Poe fan. Can it be cute and creepy all at the same time? Yup! Great little gift!

The poem is great, but my raven didn't work

I gave it four stars because it uses a button that sticks out and if anything leans against it it goes off. In fact, they shipped the first one to me in a padded envelope and it was dead when it arrived. The company sent a second one free of charge, so their customer service is good. The Raven is my son's favorite poem and this is a great edition to our collection.

A must for Poe's fans.

Came with a dead battery. It worked when i replaced the battery but the replacement battery was dead 2 days later.

I ordered this as a present for someone. She'd been looking at a biiger version of this at Barnes & noble. Saw it on here and had to get it! She was very happy with it and its cute. Just thought it would be a bit larger. It should say mini raven in the title or description.
