The Roommate 'dis'Agreement

Cash and Jade are a very unusual combination. The story line was very different from what I have read before so that kept me very interested in what was going to happen in this book. Cash I would have to say is very unique. He has a job that he can't really tell anyone about so he lies and on top of that after six years of marriage he caught his wife cheating. So starting over is all he can think about doing. Starting over means though he doesn't want to fall in love again. Cash has so much to offer this book. What he does and how he does things really keeps you wanting more from this book. So when he puts an add on facebook looking for live in roommate he decides he wants it to be female. Female because he likes coming home to someone. Being able to not feel all alone all the time. He wants to feel like he has something to come home to, but only platonic you know. Jade is in a situation that she needs a place. She has been living with her friend for months. Living on her couch and floor with her two year old daughter, so when he friend brings up this add, she thinks it could be shady. She fills out the questionnaire with it being a joke, to call out the creepy guy that wants so many details about your life and doesn't give you a picture of himself. What she finds out, is that not all is black in white. So the exchange texts, emails and meet face to face. All seems like it checks out. But the only thing now is, will this work out for the both of them?

This story is really more complicated than what I am leading you to believe, but I don't like to give spoilers and I hate trying to figure out what I should tell you or not, but I will say is secrets have a way of coming out when you least expect them. Jade has a rough past. She has been keeping her daughter away from someone that could hurt both of them, if she is not careful. But there is also things that has hurt her that will be found out during this book. Cash is hiding what he does for a living. A living that could make or break this agreement the have. When feelings start to come into the picture it get harder and harder for them to keep the lines that they were hoping to keep.

Cash is a strong alpha lead. I liked him from the beginning. He has such a good heart and wants to do what is best for everyone. He sometimes forgets about himself, but Jade reminds him that he needs something in his life. Jade is one of those woman that is strong, but has had a lot of bad happen in her life. I feel for her as the book goes on. You want more for her, and you see that more and more throughout this book. How these two communicate throughout the book is rough at times, but then you see the tenderness that both of them see in each other. It makes this book more heartfelt.

This is a great story and I loved reading it. It was heavy at times, but you also had those intense moments that you can't get out of your head for awhile. The tenderness showed through during the book also. I am so glad that I got to read this book and I will be picking up another book from this author to read.

I loved loved loved this story. It was funny, touching, sexy, intriguing, and yes, heartbreaking. The story unfolds in a captivating way, revealing all the secrets of these two amazing characters, Jade and Cash. Just when you think you know everything, another surprise is thrown your way. You know from the beginning that we aren't getting the full picture, but this author still manages to take you on this unpredictable journey of events and emotions. What I loved most in these characters is that they had me from 'hello' and were so admirable, my love never wained. Yes, they had flaws and wounds but their beautiful spirits and growing connection to each continued to shine through. Jade is the definition of a survivor and represents what all should inspire to be. Cash, oh yum is all I can say. He is the one whose revelations, I found astonishing. Aria, Jade's daughter is added to the story to turn me into a puddle of emotion because of how adorable and sweet she is. Her interactions with both Cash and Jade were the icing on the cake in this story. This is probably one of the most cryptic reviews I have even written but that is because I REALLY want everyone to experience this book for themselves. Happy Reading and enjoy the journey!!!

You never really knew which way this story was going to end up! It’s an awesome read and definitely something I would recommend. I would love to read a follow up on these two characters for sure.
