The Score (Off-Campus, 3)

While reading “The Score”, I’m noticed certain characters were being introduced that we haven’t heard of or have been briefly mentioned in the “The Mistake”. As I’m reading “The Score” characters like Sabrina ( briefly mentioned in “The Mistake”) are brought up again in this story, and we learn a bit more about who she is. In addition, this book sets up the stage for the future books such as, the Briar U spin-off series.

Dean was one of the characters I was most intrigued to read about in regards to, how he goes from his Casanova ways to being unable to stop thinking about his night with Allie. From the previous two books, I always saw Dean as the kind of guy who didn’t take anything seriously, but through his point of view, I was able to get a clearer understanding as to why he’s acted the way that he has all his life ( the entirety of the series). There’s a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to Dean, and his character development is by far one of my favorites out of the Off-Campus series. It’s clear Dean started to see Allie in a different light after spending time with her, and it’s a nice change for him (especially as a reader, I love seeing him start to open up). Allie opens up too such as, embracing her sexuality, and remaining absolute in her in decisions. I also liked how Dean reassures Allie that she shouldn’t feel shame for doing what she wants or feeling guilty about their night together. Specifically I liked how Dean tells Allie that she shouldn’t slut shame herself. I think a lot of the time for women, we feel that if we’re vocal about what we want or do in terms of sex, we get labeled as being promiscuous, etc. That part in particular I liked that it was brought up, while it was brief it was something that I appreciated was brought up.

Like the other Off-Campus series books, I was unable to pry the book from my hands! I needed to know what was going to happen next!

The Score was absolutely adorable! The giggles start immediately in chapter one and roll through the entirety of the book. I like that Dean is the rich one between the two, but Allie's lack of funds doesn't deter her from earning what she wants in life. She doesn't mope about being less than in the relationship.

Watching Dean, who sworn off relationships, come to the realization that Allie is "home" made my heart warm.

The hurdle for the two of them hurt like hell, especially watching Dean spiral with his grief. That was hard to read, but I relieved to see Allie and his friends kick his ass back into gear.

I put off reading this because, for me, Logan’s story was the end. I did not care to continue this series.. but holy heck am I glad I did. I could not have cared less for a Dean story but he is currently my favorite.
This book had me laughing and bawling. I wish I could reread it like it was the first time again.

Please this is such an amazing book. I love Dean DiLaurentis and would love a whole series of just him. There is this one scene that I will never forget about “I need Dean” scene.

This one was a bit of a surprise for me. Based on the previous books in the series it didn’t seem like Dean would be able to commit at all. I really liked how the relationship between Allie and Dean didn’t just come out of no where, there was definitely a build up. There were some OM/OW chapters at the beginning but no cheating.

I had a hard time getting over the death in this book. Broke my heart even though I knew it was coming (from other reviews).
This book ended with a surprise and I can’t wait to read the next book for all the tea!

Such a great series, love them all!!

First of all, I love a good sarcastic, “I know I’m hot” male lead, and Dean was exactly that. Plus, he was probably the funniest of them all in my opinion. He was also a really good guy and a romantic under his player persona.

Allie had a great depth of character. She was flawed, unique, and strong. She had plans for her future, and she didn’t compromise on them for her ex or for Dean.

I don’t want to spoil anything, but Elle, you broke my heart. Beau Maxwell deserved better.

Absolutely loved this book it was amazing loved the story line!

I loved this book! I don’t know why I waited so long to read this series. I am just glad that I am reading it now because it is so well done. These characters are fabulous and feel so real. I had a great time with Allie and Dean’s story and loved the fact that there were a few surprises along the way. Once I started reading this one, I hated to put it down.

Allie is dealing with a break-up and needs a place to stay so she ends up staying alone with Dean. Dean has a way with the women on campus and has been warned to keep his hands to himself. Allie and Dean end up spending one glorious night together. But is that enough? The more time these two spend together the more that they find out that they have in common.

I adored Dean and Allie together. I thought that they were just perfect for each other. The chemistry between them is amazing and if you are looking for heat, look no further. I really liked getting to know Allie and Dean better. Allie hasn’t had it easy while Dean has led a rather privileged life. I liked seeing Allie let her head down and have a good time with Dean. I liked how they were there for each other and seemed to know exactly what they needed from each other. They do face a pretty big obstacle to their relationship and I thought that it was handled perfectly.

I would highly recommend this book to others. This is the third book in the Off-Campus series but it could be read as a stand-alone. Readers of the series will enjoy seeing some much-loved characters in this book. I had such a good time watching Allie and Dean find their happily ever after. I cannot wait to read more of this fantastic series!
