The Secret of the Soul: Using Out-of-Body Experiences to Understand Our True Nature

This is the first OBE book that I ever read (in early 2015). William Buhlman is a visiting instructor at The Monroe Institute and brings over 40 years of personal experience to you through this fine book. It is all here: lots of examples and stories; specific instructions, techniques, and coaching on OBE's; and many, many lessons on spirituality. One thing that makes this particular book valuable is much of its basis upon the 16,000+ surveys collected from individuals experiencing an OBE by Buhlman (e.g., from multiple countries). The aggregated survey data provides both qualitative (e.g., descriptive) and quantitative (e.g., large numbers) data and evidence-examples about OBE's.

Buhlman (as a writer) is direct with his commentary, and also provides several diagrams which bring immediate conceptual recognition to the difficult topics being discussed. I bought the e-book format for my Kindle, and I could read everything fine. Personally, I was very pleased that I picked this book as the first OBE book that I read. It is based upon not only Buhlman's personal experiences, but I also found it a thoroughly spiritual book. This book was a page turner for me, and an easy 5 stars.

Loved it! This book really helped me to become comfortable with the vibration state. Hopefully I will have a true OBE soon.

One of the best books on Out-of-body experiences. I especially liked not only his own stories regarding OBE but also the collection of stories of others having OBEs. Mr. Buhlman also gives a scientific and spiritual account of how the two fit in with this world reality. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed reading this book. It is easy to read and understand. I find Bill's book much easier to read than Tom Campbell.

I thought this book would just be more of the same old stuff. Turns out I was wrong and was sucked in just like his first book. Reading the accounts of so many people was not only informative but also gave me a sense of community. These experinces are a normal part of human life. I would recomend this book to anyone. If you havent read his first book I would start with it.

This is the first of many books I've read on the subject that finally sets it clear and simple for me.

Great book on astral travel and how to overcome barriers. I felt the personal testimony was beneficial. The book proves you do not need gadgets to astral travel. it does not go again any religious belief system.

I learned a lot reading this book. I can't wait to have one myself. I now know what to expect which will help making it a positive experience.
