The Spiritual Awakening Process

The subject matter of this book is interesting; the presentation is not. It's lists and bullet points. It's notes, it's clippings. It's quick words, points, ideas, pulled from mass mailings. The book feels flat and cannot go five pages without a list or bullet points:

1. It feels like a PowerPoint presentation.
2. It feels like a business weekend seminar.
3. It feels superficial or easily digestible or glib.

We are living in a world of unmeaning and our Souls thirst for meaning in a corrupt world. Power, money, greed.

Chapter X: What are callings?
The first calling is quarter-life crisis. The second calling is mid-life crisis, this comes second. Thirdly, the third calling is near-deal crisis. We need to listen to our Soul and find Wholeness. Dig deep down into your Inner Depths and question yourself fully. Only then can your Soul find itself in true happiness and fulfillment. We have turned to others; we need to turn inwards to ourselves.

Chapter Y: The many directions of the Soul to various places. Keep in mind, because it may not be known to everyone, that the Soul can travel in many countless directions which I will name below. (Keep in mind, this is not an exhaustive list):
1. The spirit can travel down. This is dark night of the Soul. Many of us are already familiar.
2. The spirit can travel into wonder and curiosity. There may be many things you are unaware of in life. The Soul can travel there using Chi or Prana values which are discussed later.
3. Souls can also have chi values and therefore move a 45 degree angle to the sun. You can usually find this feature during the summer solstice when shadows are elongated. This is the soul yearning to escape.
4. Through solitude is fourth. This is often the most difficult path. When I was working with healers, they agreed with this.

Chapter Z: What can we can bring on a spiritual journey?
1. Water. It is the source of life.
2. Shoes. Make sure there is 1/2 of space.
3. Humility. Often we are not humble enough in our gated society or corporate office, with the effect being a negative impact on our karma draw. By being humble, we are listening to the universe.
4. Art therapy.
5. Making a Journal. Writing things down without censorship it key to Inner Work and making the Journey start.
6. Friends.
7. Not this book.

Pages were not bound properly during printing so there are some that fell out.

I really enjoyed this book. It taught me a lot of things and gave me a new perspective on the whats, hows, and whys of the spiritual awakening process. I highly recommend this book!!

I'm only halfway through the book so far and I loved it!
